Andrew and Victoria couldn't have done more from the time they picked us up from the airport to taking us to the bus station for our ongoing journey five days later! Traveling with a teenager and a preschooler was always going to have its moments and Andrew and Victoria went out of their way to make us feel like nothing was too much trouble (thanks for the homemade chicken nuggets Andrew!). Excellent value for money. Chalets clean and comfortable. Pool and grounds well looked after. Food fabulous, we especially enjoyed the "specials" board. Andrew happy to book tours etc. and went the extra mile to help us with contacts in northern Zambia for the rest of our trip. We will be back!

To start: you can certainly find luxury, bazillion start lodges in the Livingstone area which will cost in the range of $1,000 per night; you can also find some excellent backpacker's/hostels. If you're looking for something which is a happy medium (with much better food...) this is it. The grounds are beautiful, the chalets are clean and comfortable, I like not sharing a wall with the next guest, the owner, Andrew, takes care of each guest and makes sure their activities are arranged (and he makes the best damned samosas.....) It's a pretty easy walk into town, I'd certainly go back.

We have been in South Africa, including Zambia for 6 weeks with a stay of 7 days here at the Green Tree. Cottages were clean, quite and the porch in front provided a great sitting area. The complete facility including pool and other common areas were clean and very useful. The lodge is run like a BnB, providing great service and value.

Andrew the host is very knowledgeable about tours and very attentive to his quests needs. He booked the tours and arranged transportation. There is no need to go outside the lodge other than gonin on tour. The food that Andrew prepared was excellent and of great value.

2 friends and myself stayed at the Green Tree Lodge from 5th to 8th Feb 2013. We were collected from the airport by Andrew, who also conveyed us back there for our departure. The standard of accommodation is excellent value and the food is superb. It is ideally situated for a visit to the Victoria Falls and a short 3 minute ride into Livingstone town. Andrew and his charming wife Victoria are extremely helpful and his staff, especially the beautiful Peela are a delight to deal with. Thoroughly recommended!!

Where to start? In a place with little quality mid-range accommodation, Green Tree stands out. Andrew's cooking in outstanding and he and Victoria work tirelessly to help organize your activities in Zambia and even Zimbabwe. My wife's luggage did not arrive and Andrew called South Africa Airlines every morning to check on it's status. The accommodation was comfortable, the pool was fine, and the grounds relaxing. Highly recommended!
