This hotel is very well kept and in a beautiful location (right on the beach) it has the friendliest Staff and is close to lots of nice bars and restaurants. The room we stayed in was one of there cheapest rooms but was still large with a massive double Bed the bathroom had a waterfall shower and the room had a big balcony.(also if you stay more than one might they will do your laundry for free). I would stay here again.

Hello and thank you for your lovely review. As we always say at Shades Resort, it is the people who make the hotel special. The weather has been a bit hard for all of the guests but everyone still smiling. Thank you for that. Phi

This is a nice little haven on the beachfront. Our room was excellent, it felt very modern and spacious in contrast to some of the other hotels we had stayed at up until this part of the trip.

The staff were great, doing all of our laundry for us (it got soaked in flood water on the way to Mui Ne), and helping me get my iPhone back after leaving it in a taxi!

Only thing that was a slight disappointment was the lack of sun towards the end of day, although imagine this is a problem all the resorts along that section of the coastline have to deal with.

Big shout out to Phi, he was great and has been working there for 7+ years.

Hi there and thank you so much for your review. Yes it was very bad weather when you stayed with us, the week of the Typhoon but everyone was still smiling and that was very good for all of us at Shades. We tried very hard to keep up with the washing. A free laundry service can be hard trying to get everyones clothes dry! Thank you again and all the best for your travelling future Phi

Myself and my partner stayed in Shades Resort for 4 nights in October.

Shades is located at the main road in Mui Ne with easy access to all restaurants and shops, either walking or taking a taxi which won't cost you more than €3.

We had a beautiful and spacious room. Our room was very nice, absolutely immaculate and bed clothes with a lovely freshly washed aroma. It was equipped with all the things you would expect, but also some extras, robe, sleepers, Dvd player with a selection of Dvd's in both room and reception, there was even sewing kits in the bathroom which is very handy to have in a holiday.

We arrived at Shades with a big bag of laundry as it was our 2nd week holiday and this was dealt with for free, and we got our washed and folded clothes the day after.

The swimming pool is very nice and literally a 2m stroll to the beach by Shades own steps. There is a bar by the swimming pool from which we had several drinks from, fruit juices, cocktails etc and everything was very yummy.

We also did a Vietnamese Cooking Class in Mui Ne Cooking School booked by Shades which was one the holidays highlights.

Breakfast was very nice, with selection of omelette, scrambled or fried eggs or even pancakes with banana and syrup. There's tea/coffee, juices, milk, cereal, fruit, yogurts and bread so people can make their own toast, which I liked it.

Although Shades doesn't offer any other meals besides breakfast they do have some menus of nearby places to go and eat in or take away. One of Shades staff did go out and get food for us, which he offered to do, without charging any extra, which was very nice of him.

We travelled from Mui Ne to Saigon by bus and this was organised by Shades who were kind enough to make all arrangements for us and advise us of the best timings and alternatives.

Overall Shades was an absolute delight, both staff and Linda, the lady who runs Shades, were extremely nice and made us feel very welcomed.

Would strongly recommend it and if we ever have to chance to go back to Mui Ne, we would absolutely do it again.

The shades is a delightful, clean, modern and small oasis in the middle of the Mui Ne strip. The rooms are large and the outside area looks out over the sea. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Can't believe how inexpensive this place is for what you get. Definitely recommend it!

Enjoyed a wonderful stay in Shades earlier this month. Having backpacked all the way down from Hanoi, we decided to indulge in a little luxury for our two night stay by the sea.

Shades far out did our expectations. We were given a gorgeous room - gleaming and pristine. The decor is so tasteful. We had loads of space and a fabulous balcony over looking the pool. The facilities at Shades are top class and everything is perfectly maintained. The resort is private and tranquil which lends to very relaxng sun bathing and lounging.

Shades doesn't compromise on location either - we were centrally located on the main strip, yet away from the busiest nightlife. Everywhere was within walking distance.

The staff were very friendly. Most of all, their service was understated. This we loved as we weren't disturbed during the day by offers of food, drinks or tours which can often invade guests privacy.

The breakfast was nice. Plenty of choice and the scrambled eggs were definitely the best I sampled in Vietnam! They tasted like home! I also loved the peanut butter which was a novel inclusion.

We only wish we could have stayed longer but hopefully we will be back some day!
