After 4 hour road trip from HCM, we arrived late in the evening, no problems at check-in, though reception keeps your passport.
Stayed at rooms with garden view, which was good. Large choice for breakfast both local & international, menu changed daily including the delcious pho, though we ate at nearby restaurants in the evenings as more choice & better value.
Landscaped gardens with ponds and lilypads, nice for kids to explore, private beach was clean though you need to reserve your sunbed early as there isnt that many. Alot of russians staying in the hotel & town. Windy beach with strong waves popular with kite-surfers - some getting their tutorial on the beach so be careful of falling kites!
Massage at the hotel spa was reasonable & clean.
Be prepared for lots of mosquitoes.

We booked this resort for 2 nights at a last minute discounted rate with upgrade! The resort looks very well maitained, which is nice. Still, we were not that impressed. On arrival our welcome was a bit uncomfotable. While checking in we were expected to pay for our stay straight away, which is ok. I hadn't been to an ATM yet and didn't have enough on me to cover the 2 nights. The receptionist's response was 'Well, how much do you have?' Now, I've worked in hotels myself, so maybe I'm too judicial, but I thought that was slightly out of order. We agreed to just pay for the 1st night now, and come back later for the second part. We were invited to have a welcome drink but the bell boy was aparently very excited to bring us to our room, because he asked us if we wanted to 'go to the room now', even though we had made no such signal. The room was fine, no complaints there. Breakfast was great, with a lot to choose from. Unfortunately, the waiters all seem in a rush to take away your plate. The last thing holiday makers want when they're on holiday is to feel rushed. In the end, we decided just to stay here for 1 night and move to another resort for the other, as this was me and my girlfriend's first break together, and we wanted to make it special. We stayed in Unique Resort and Spa for our last night, which was just perfect!

This hotel was excellent for the value. It was clean and had friendly staff. It has a good pool and is located 5 minutes or so north of Patong beach. A tuk tuk ride should cost no more than 200 solo and much less if you are traveling with more than one person. The beach itself is about 100 meters from the hotel and is more pleasant to look at than to actually sunbathe and swim.

My room had a fridge, kingsize bed, zircon, TV, free coffee ample space for storage and porch area with chairs and a table. The price to stay here was 450 baht, 15 USD in the low season. A hotel like this back in the states would easily cost many times more. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for those who want to spend less and get away from the madness of Patong.

Staying in Bamboo Village was the great time ever as I discovered many trees, flowers that I only see on the internet/books. What a surprise! The room is ok however the bed is not really soft. The beach is great. Breakfast is fine with the many choices of food but I expect something more with tasty croissant and hot pancake. The plus is the Strawy restaurant, it is right on the beachfront so I had my great time there during breakfast and dinner. A part of the restaurant are made by coconut trunks and coconut leaves, so this might be the second plus. Overall, I enjoyed my holidays at Bamboo Village and expect to come back again.

Room Tip: Nova Deluxe is reasonable. The beach front bungalow is better than the garden view bungalow.

Nice hotel, rooms was nice but beds VERY hard, I guess the locals aren't as spoiled as us and it would have been a four if it wasn't for the lack of pool areas and COMPLETE lack of sunbeds around the small pools and the staff doing absolutely nothing about it. This was not helped by the vast amount of Russians that used their towels to book the sunbeds at 7am and then, whether they was planning on using them or not, occupied them all day long. I sincerely hope that Russians within their countries borders are nice and polite, those travelling abroad sure is'nt.

We stayed in this hotel late February 2012 and loved it. We were only here for 4 nights, but we could have stayed for a long time! The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful, prime location on the beach, and the pool was gorgeous.
The breakfast was amazing every day, but the food for lunch / dinner was a bit boring so we ventued out hoping to find some local cuisine. Well, there wasn't much as it's a beach resort for tourists. There were fish restaurants etc. but no street food which was what we were accustomed to after having spent 10 days in cities eating gorgeous food for £1.
Mui Ne seems to be a Russian resort, as there were a lot of russians on holiday, and the menus were either in russian or english.
There were a lot of local shops close to the hotel which were good for cheap & cheerful clothing, alcohol (!), snacks etc.
The hotel was part of our tour so not sure how much it was, but it was lovely - couldn't fault it.

I really enjoyed out stay at Bamboo Village. The resort is beautiful, located at the end of a small side street directly on the river. It has a very quiet and zen feel. The pool area is very nice, though the pool bar was not open during our stay. The rooms are bright, airy, and spacious. The large king bed was the most comfortable I experienced during our 6 week trip. Others mentioned the shower...it really wasn't that bad. I encountered many other similar set ups through out my trip in Vietnam at other luxury hotels Do not let it be a deal breaker. We booked massages through the hotel and were very impressed with the in room quality.
The resort offers bicycle and moped rentals. We took advantage of both. I really liked the location of Bamboo Village, it's situated in between Ancient town and the beach town. I found Ancient town very touristy so it was nice to not be staying directly in the mix of it.
The wifi was extremely quick and they also offered free computers to use in the lobby. Great place to stay.
