Very quiet resort at this end of mui ne, not much to do unless your a kite surfer, lots of choice eateries cheap to mid price. Hotel suited us, pool lovers and lazing around, hotel very clean, staff very helpful, food at breakfast average, well presented, and staff very attentive with coffee tea etc. would reccomend if you like quiet, or quick couple of days on your way further up the coast, wouldnt like to stay longer than 3 days, no mossie problems went in june 2013, this has been our 5th stay at tien dat so that speaks volumes, we like the pool!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms across the road are better and the pool is much quieter, lots of Russians stay here and usuall...

We've stayed in Tien Dat in the beginning of Jule 2012 for 14 days, and really enjoyed our vacation. We lived in Beach bungalow which is about 10m from the ocean, it is very bright and clean. This place is really great, very friendly staff can offer you help every time you need it. Breakfasts are not very diverse, but good, with enough fruits, bacon, omlettes, vegetables and some confectionery stuff.
Tien Dat has two areas - Hill and Sea, hillside is newer, but our beach front bungalow was good as well. Room service is good, have nothing to say against it.
Hotel is located near Bo Ke (where you can find lot's of small restaurants with BBQs right on the beach, it's not so clean, but veeeery tasty! you can try here turtles, crabs, lobsters, different shells, fishes, frogs and so on... and it's very cheap. Many restaurants in the centre if MuiNe buy food in Bo Ke and then sell it to you a bit more expensive)). So if you want seafood - Bo Ke is the right choice.
The beach and the sea are clean, but the sea has quite big waves. If you want to relax lying on the sea slick and take some sunbathes - it's not for you.
Regarding weather and low season - it rained 4-5 times of 2 weeks we've been here and mostly in the night. It's not so hot, sea is warm and the wind is not so strong (also the waves are lover). If you need to surf - it is not the season you should visit this place. But i had everything i need - quite no people, low prices and excellent weather.
The one thing i didn't like completely - the beach, chaise-longues are standing on the concrete floor and there are two stairs to the sea. In the morning when the tide ebbs it's quite hard to get into the sea - the waves are just knocking you down on the floor... In the evening the tide goes out and uncovers quite wide sandy strip (about 50m). So in the morning we were wondering the outskirts and in the afternoon enjoying the sea.

I'd like to say it very good clean and friendly hotel. Long long beach at the coast. Nice food. But I advice you to visit a bunch of street food cafe. With live fish and other seafood. Overall, only good memoirs.

We booked this Hotel because of the nice pictures, but the reality could not live up to it. The staff was not friendly at all. Instead of a warm "Welcome" we just heard "Voucher!". They seemed not interested in giving us a pleasant time at all. The resort is divided into two parts: back (beyond the street, up the hill) and front (where not really a "beach part" exists- no sand). "Sea view" means staying up on the hill away from the beach. Sitting there on a "terrace" really close to the neighbours, just some "plastic flowers" (in Vietnam, Land of the Lotus) inbetween. Not what we expected.

I stayed at Tien Dat Resort in February 2013, I lived on 5 th floor with sea view (de luxe room). It's the best room location at the whole hotel.
Breakfast was quite ok, juice, fruit, bacon, eggs, omelet, cornflakes. Room service was good, there were towels for the beach, so you dont have to take them with you. There are 2 pools, which were clean and warm.
The main disadvantage is that the staff don't speak any language except vietmenese ;) so get ready to use body language. But they are really friendly and nice!
I recommend this hotel and Muine! Come and enjoy

We stayed at the Tien Dat Resort for 4 nights from the 14th to 18th of Dec.2012. Not knowing what to expect when we booked the bus ride and resort stay, we were pleasantly surprised. The bus ride was something unusual to us. It's the 'sleeping bus' (Hanh Cafe open tour bus). One is almost in a sleeping position on the bus as the name suggested. At most the recline came up to a 45 degree angle making it very uncomfortable for us, unless you want to sleep all the way. And you have to take your shoes off when you board the bus. The driver will give you a plastic bag for storage. Larger people would find this sleeping bus most uncomfortable. If we knew we would have taken the usual sitting bus ( we are not large).
Tien Dat is a dated resort that have seen better days, but it's well kept and clean. We were given room 220 which was perpendicular to the road and beach, but we could see the road, beach and swimming pool from the balcony. At night we could hear the waves and some traffic noise but we still slept well.
A bedside lamp and the balcony light were not working when we arrived. We called the staff and they quickly attended to it. We also requested to change to yellow bulbs instead of white ones and they happily obliged. We just hate white lights. Yellow lights feel cosy and warm. The air-conditioning works well if you know how to work it. You have to position the air-fins to blow to the centre of the room instead of onto the head of the bed.
The staff at the resort were generally friendly and polite. Their spoken English were adequate enough for normal communication.
Every morning we look forward to the buffet breakfast. They changed some of the dishes daily and it's refreshing. The staff at the egg station made very good omelettes and other forms you fancy. We simply enjoyed the baguette and the works. The hot tea was so week and tasteless, and the coffee not much better. We would take the 'G7 coffee' sachets from the room and ask for hot water to make our own brew.
The 2 swimming pools (1 on the beach side and 1 on the hill side) were huge and inviting, and we spend a lot of our time there. The sun deck chairs facing the beach was also good for people watching and enjoying the sea breeze.
In the evening, we would go to the out-door BBQ seafood street for very affordable lobsters, prawns, scallops, fishes etc. There were also snakes (cobra), crocodiles and other exotic eats.

Overall, we enjoyed our vacation very much and would love to return soon.

The travel agent recommended us this hotel. It is nice and comfortable. The room is big as compared to the hotel that we stayed at HCM city. All basic hotel necessities are available.
Our room is near the beach. It's just about 2 - 3 minutes walk to the beach from our room!!
We reached there in the noon. The beach is nice. Walking along the beach... you can see all the hotels and restaurants by the beach-side have high retainer walls which is quite weird at first. But we understand why there's a need for that in the next morning. The next morning we planned to have a leisure walk by the beach but we were shocked!!!! It's like the sea level and the waves is so high and strong till it almost reaches the tip of those retainers walls!!!! The beach is totally ''gone"!!! It's a different view from what we seen the noon before.
The buffet breakfast is just nice. They have local delicacies as well as some western food. Fruits slices and fruits juice are available too.
One thing the we dislike the most is we have (or forced) to leave our passport to the receptionist. We suggested them to photocopy the passport and returned us the originals but the refused. We feel that this is very unsecured. What if the passport gone loss? The reason given was sometimes there will be police coming to check on the tourists identities. We truly hope that there are other better ways to solve it.

Room Tip: Choose rooms that located near beach if you like beaches and more 'resort' style. There'...
