We are a family of 4 who stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at end of a full week in Vietnam. The location on the beach is stunning. The pool is lovely. The room was enormous. The architectural style is very modern with a fusion of a couple of styles I couldn't identify - lots of grey tile and stone with dark woods. Facilities fell short of 5 star because (1) main restaurant was too small for breakfast crowd (2) beach restaurant wasn't clearly defined (3) large exercise room was sparsely equipped with items not top notch (4) some elements of the modern architecture were not "kid friendly". Service was the big downfall here. For the foreign traveler, the completely local staff with limited language skills was challenging. There was really only one menu that was limited and sub-divided for application to in-room dining and restaurants. The kitchen staff was overl-whelmed during buffet breakfast time. In general things were a bit dis-organized.

Stayed in this hotel in February just prior to Tet celebrations. Room huge and bathroom lovely to look at but sadly looks deceive as water temp so variable it made showering a bit of a challenge. Bath huge but took an age to fill and empty so didn't bother with it. Double sinks a nice touch though. The hotel provides a turn down service which is useful as they replace the used towels if necessary. Being on the 3rd floor we didn't expect to have to pull the curtains but were surprised one morning by the window cleaner atop a raised platform cleaning our windows. Prior warning would have been nice!! Air con struggled with such a large and hot room but was sufficient. Experienced temporary power cuts several times during our 4 day stay. Sorry to say but the rooms facing the road are VERY noisy. Vietnam drivers just love using their horns and it goes on night and day. Also nearby bars etc also very loud so take ear plugs if you plan to stay here. On the plus side the internet use is free and easily available. There is complimentary canned soft drinks and water in the room which is a nice touch. The staff are lovely and very attentive in the restaurants and pool area. However not so much in the rather in the noisy spa. I suggest if you book any beauty treatments, especially pedicures/manicures you ascertain what exactly that entails as its not what one would usually expect (mainly re-polish). Language in the spa a bit of a problem and there isn't a separate pool or shower areas. The showers/toilets are connected to each of the treatment rooms and therefore are not very private.
Breakfast was fairly routine fare but quite sufficient and rather oddly had a lovely pianist playing for the service. Something I think would have been better for the evening dinner service as there was no entertainment at this hotel at all during our stay.
The Lunch/Dinner menus remained the same for our stay and so whilst we didn't mind - it may become a little boring for stays longer than a few days.
A usefull touch would have been a booklet or brochure describing the hotels services, telephone numbers etc as is usually found in hotel rooms.
As I said, the staff at this hotel are it's greatest asset but it does have the feeling of being a bit spartan and unfinished so I expect the minor issues mentioned here will be ironed out in the future. There's nothing much going on locally and I would question whether its worth the 4-5 hour drive from Saigon really.

We stayed 2 nights at this resort in a standard room looking over the entrance and the road. The room was comfortable, large, and well kept. Service was very good : turn down, service at the breakfast buffet and at the pool restaurant, though disorganised and slow, the personel was nice and tried hard to please guests.
The arrival was somewhat confusing and slow.
Overall a good adress, but not worth paying 3 or 400 dollars for the bungalow (too overpriced). If you go out and cross the road, there are lots of good more reasonably- priced restaurants.

We stayed for 6 nights in late December 2009 with extended family (10 of us) including a baby aged 1.Each family had a Pool Villa. The Resort is brand new and was wonderful for our Christmas holidays. The 7 course Christmas Eve Dinner was simply superb ! All the kids-- little and small got a present-- even Santa came to our Villa with after dinner snacks. The staff are a pleasure to deal with and will do anything to make sure you have a wonderful stay. It was very hard to leave the place. The staff made the children very welcome. The decor is simply stunning.-- next time I will have dinner in the Wine Cellar Room. The Gym has all the latest equipment and the Spa is also fantastic.A beautiful place to unwind and worthy of it's 5 star status.

I arrived at the apparent 5 star hotel on the 26th December, and stayed there until the 4th January. First of all my family and I were shocked be the actual town of Mui Ne: one could compare it to shady bits of Phuket or the infamous "Ballerman" Area of Mallorca...

The hotel itself is member of the Leading Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which is a pitty, as it is merely of low 4-Star standard. Although I specifically requested to have the two rooms my family and I booked, to be situated closely together, the hotel forget that and placed us around 500 m. away from eath other - as all other rooms over New Tear's were taken we had no choice but to accept the situation... For the high price ca. $ 500 / night / room, the accomodation was ok ( nice bathroom, but very uncomfortable beds).

Beach: very thin, no fine sand, many people from the neighbouring 2 & 3 Star Resorts...

Guests: ca. 95% Russian tourists...prepare to witness binge vodka drinking...

Service: very incompetent, no idea of how to set up a table, basically no one speaks English apart from a few managers.

Hotel: Electricity shuts down 3-5 times a day...TV didn't work, and couldn't be replaced in 48 hrs...
