Beautiful looking structure. We only got to see during the day, I am sure it would be stunning at night. A real landmark.

I'm not sure how to rate a bridge, really, but I can say that this is the only place I've ever seen the motorbikes fall. As a pedestrian, it's scary when a bike tips while slowly driving along and the passenger falls off the bike and right into you! Everyone was fine because the speed was so slow, but yikes!

You have to stay late, do not go to sleep on time and wait until 0:30 midnight to see the wonder of this bridge. Bingo ! The bridge turns 90 for the passing of ships.

Btw, it's so glorious to see it when the sunset comes, especially its 7 colors.

It's a nice bridge, important in the history of Da Nang, but the Dragon Bridge is the more spectacular to look at.

This bridge is the pride of Da Nang folks as it was designed, built and sponsored by the people of this city to facilitate the ease of travel across the Han River and was the first cable-stay swing bridge ever built in the whole of Vietnam, completed in the year 2000.

This bridge is brightly-lit at night too and is quite a sight to those watching from the restaurants or along the promenade nearby. The uniqueness of this bridge, at least to people in this region, is that at some time during the night, the bridge is closed to the usual traffic flow as it swings on its central axis to rest in tandem with the river flow, so as to allow the river traffic to pass through. However, I’m not sure as to how long the bridge remains in this position every night.

This no-crossing of the road traffic poses no problem at all to the local people after the Dragon Bridge was built to allow the crossing but with a slight diversion as the Dragon Bridge is just a short distance away.

The Dragon Bridge may have stolen the thunder from this bridge in terms of tourist attractiveness, but Han River Bridge has been deeply-rooted as the Pride of Danang as far as the people here are concerned.
