We were very curious about the Cham culture and thus was looking forward to the visit to Cham museum. The exhibits were alright, can't say that it was super-informative. Not impressive.

Getting some background on the Cham people and the variety of religious and cultural influences made this quite an interesting experience. On its own and without context it may not have the same effect. It is however amazing to see these sculptures that dates from centuries ago. Putting these into the My Son context makes it so much more significant. Something to see but make sure you have a guide or someone to give you the context and information. If you combine it with a visit to My Son, so much more relevant to visit this museum.

Before coming to the Museum I did not realize that Cham stood for Champa. So I learnt something right away. Of course I as very familiar with the Champa Kingdom in Vietnam (coming from India), and to see this museum in lieu of visiting the My Son ruins was fully worth it. At times I felt like I was visiting a museum in India. The Indian influence with the Hindu gods is unmistakable. The exhibits though not large in number are well organized and in remarkably good shape. If you are not able to visit the My Son ruins, do not miss this museum.

We loved this museum. The quality of the sculptures, some going back to the 2nd century, was amazing, and there were very few tourists there. definitely worth a half an hour visit if you're interested in art, and ancient civilisations - an undiscovered gem!

Interesting but not riveting. It houses the largest collection of Cham sculptures in the world and is therefore historically important. Not a large museum so you don't need to spend a lot of time there to see it all, unless of course you have a personal interest in Cham culture.
