InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort
Ranked #3 of 294 Hotels in Da Nang
Reviewed July 6, 2012

My husband and I were among the first guests to stay the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort after it opened in June 2012 and it was simply stunning! We have stayed in a number of luxury resorts around the world but this was impressive. It is located approximately 25 mins out of Danang along a beautiful coastal road.

On arrival we were taken straight to a huge daybed to check in over a welcome drink. It was our first glimpse at sensational views that the resort has over the Eastern Sea, breathtaking! We loved our huge room, which opened out onto a huge balcony with incredible views. The bathroom was completely indulgent with its huge stone bath and a rain-forest shower opening onto the balcony with a view over the bay.

The outdoor pod in the Citron was the perfect place for breakfast overlooking the entire resort. The buffet breakfast amazing and service was nothing short of perfect! We had dinner there a number of times as well and enjoyed every meal.

The resort is built on a steep slope and there is a funicular railway operating to take you to different levels making it very easy to get around. The sea was so clear, just beautiful to swim in and the beach was immaculate as was the attentive service of the beach staff. I used the gym daily and it was well equipped. The spa treatments were amazing and doing Taichi on the beach is great way to start the day.

We visited Hoi An - (the resort provides a regular free shuttle to Hoi An) and were fortunate to time it for the full moon festival and it was beautiful to see the lanterns floating down the river. We had a fantastic dinner at Morning Glory and loved exploring the town.

We loved our stay and thought it was good value. If you are looking for some serious relaxation, pampering, excellent food, and first-rate service then this is the place for you. We are definitely planning to return.

I have traveled to many places but the Sea Villas and the service of this place is spot on.
Staff will do anything for you if you explain it clearly.
We will be back with many friends.
The candlelight BBQ on the beach was very romantic and the Taittinger brunch was so overwhelming I nearly burst my sun tan....ha!!!
Decor is very well thought out.

Room Tip: Splurge and go for Sea Villa

My husband and I had traveled to many cities in S.E.A. We love Danang. We discovered "The Citron" Restaurant located in the newly built InterContinental Hotel. We rate the property as 6 stars when we visited for the first time. Since we live in Danang we chose to spend our Sunday afternoon enjoying a "Taittinger Champagne Brunch" overlooking the Sun Tra Peninsula. The experience was exquisite to say the least. The quality of the ingredients and presentation were outstanding, everything I put in my mouth was absolutely delicious. The expat and local staff were excellent and very attentive..... thanks Nadia.
We will certainly be returning to Citron.

This is a perfectly fine and wonderful resort. The heafty pricetag is relatively justifiable. You are paying for luxury and that is what you get. This is an elite hotel and you are going to pay the premium. Beautiful beautiful as the prior reviews described. However, you wont be getting any value here. We felt like we got the bare minimum for what we paid. While everything was lavish and opulent, this was what we expected. The value factor did not impress.

Just as a comparison to another resort at the same price range, we also stayed at the Fusion Maia. The FM was slightly more expensive (by 50 dollars or so). But if you factor in breakfast for two at the Intercontinental, the price would be about the same. But the value factor at the FM was so much greater. Spa treatments, private pool, breakfast included. We felt like we got a steal staying at the FM as compared to the IC.

The IC is brand spaking new, secluded and has breathe-taking views of the bay. Worth the price of admission, but that's it. that's where the value of your money ends.

Was not the first time for me in Danang but yes for my wife, so I decided to impress her taking to Intercontinental Resort.
There's not enough words to describe the shock we both got upon arrival. What a great entrance!
We were really excited, everything turned into a dream. Everywhere we look we found great decorations, stunning statues, amazing halls...and that was not all, because, after the check-in we were took to our suite...SPECTACULAR!!! Had never seen a room like this one!! Huge bath, gorgeous bed, unique design, impressive balcony with a great view...even the closet was dazzling!

With a beautiful beach, we went for a walk admiring the clean water and swam for a while. I have to say the view from the beach to the Hotel is also really impressive, with the
funicular in the middle and the houses on the mountainside.

The food was really good, (great buffet for breakfast!) and really value for money for lunch and dinner. Moreover, there are some original tables suspended in air, really cool!

I also want to emphasize on the very good service. We were treated like kings in every aspect. Very helpful and polite staff.

There's no doubts that we will come back, everything was just perfect!

This Resort is located in one amazing natural place of Vietnam and the design and architecture is, absolutely, exclusive and unique, so far from another Resorts of this country. The service that we received there is very professional -bars and restaurants had all delicious foods and beverages imaginables- and everything gave us the decision of back to this Resort soon.

This hotel looks like the best hotels you can find in places like Bali. Only it's in Da Nang, Vietnam and it offers much more than what a crowded, over-visited place like Bali can offer.
An amazing place, secluded above a pristine beach. It's only just open so be quick to enjoy it before everybody knows about it
