A great concept combining hotel service and facilities with the feeling of a resort. Friendly staff, great location and a stunning beach. Ideal for couples through to families.

If I could make 2 suggestions, more staff in the breakfast area and add a bit of atmosphere to the Club Room.

We were greeted & made to feel welcome immediately upon our arrival. We were given room F131; the room was very modern with nice fixtures & fittings... we were very happy with it. However at around 5.30am we were awoken by a kind of drilling noise which continued on & off throughout the morning. We complained the next day & were told that a new room would be sorted out for us; it was & we were happy again!
The Regency Club Room came as part of the room deal; soft drinks & beverages are available here throughout the day & there is a two hour happy hour in the evening with a nice selection of drinks & light snacks. Breakfast is very samey but eggs can be ordered if desired. Alternatively, there is a paid breakfast in the Greenhouse bar which made a nice change.
Unfortunately for us, the weather was not kind to us; out of our 9 days there we only saw the sun shine a couple of times. This highlighted to us the fact that there is not a great deal to do there if you're not sunbathing. Yes you can visit Hoi An & Danang, but only so many times…& at night time there is even less to do, we were in bed by 8.30 most nights…...there is absolutely no entertainment! We are not party animals by any means but do not enjoy being totally trapped in a place where there is nowhere to walk to for a nice meal or a change of scenery. The menus here are quite limited too & it doesn't take long to get bored of the choices on offer!
On a plus note, the beach is stunningly beautiful & well maintained… but the few beds that are available don't serve this 5 star hotel very well.…proper sun loungers & sun canopies are needed to give people the opportunity to use the beach more.
We found the staff to be very courteous & helpful & were impressed with their service & standards.
It seems to me that the aesthetics of the place are extremely lacking compared to other resorts we have stayed at; it is more like a concrete jungle with no flowers or colour just overgrown grasses lashing your face when the wind gets up. Maybe if the weather had been different I would have a different impression, I'm not sure.
We actually brought our flight to Ho Chi Min City forward by a day as we had just had enough.......... so 'No', we wouldn't return!

I was on business trip, at the same time I felt I was on leisure trip too. Hotel is beautiful with nice room nice atmostphere and nice weather. Service is good even sometime some staffs can't speak english well but they tried to understand what you want. Food at hotel restuarant is the best in taste. Spa is also the best too I really enjoy my stay and I will come back.

Room Tip: Book regency room with regency access

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency during our stay in Danang this April with our young son in a Deluxe Ocean Room. This is a new resort and the decor is ultra modern, luxurious and clean. The pool and beach areas are great places to hang out on a sunny day (in particular take an afternoon or morning walk up the beach to see the great view of local fisherman in their boats each day). The Resort Staff are very friendly and try hard to make you feel welcome (Five Stars go to the representatives at the Business Centre who were wonderful in helping us with flight issues).
Food and Beverage was of high quality as expected. In particular, we enjoyed visiting the bakery/cafe "Baguette"? for coffee. There are however a few areas of the resort that could be improved:
- There was very little in-room written information about the kids club program, tours/ possible options provided upfront to holiday guests. Perhaps this was missing from our room.
- Signage is minimal but the resort is huge so make sure you ask Front Desk for a resort map - this was not given to us until we asked.
- The Shuttle Bus seems to get full very quickly (or in our case, other guests were allowed to push in front of us even though we were waiting first, and we missed getting a spot). Its a "first push first serve" basis. Perhaps a booking list would help resolve this problem.
- If you book through a travel agent with buffet breakfast included, but have an early morning departure time, you forfeit the meal altogether unless you agree to pay US$17 for a takeaway breakfast pack. Most other hotels we have stayed in will provide at least a simple Continental breakfast in your room to make up for this free of charge.
Overall we had a nice time and look forward to the possibility of future stays.

Room Tip: The beach is so beautiful here, it pays to have a quiet room with an ocean view.

We stayed in the hotel for our honeymoon. The resort is beautiful with several pools around. The beach is wide and quiet. The room is very clean because we have room service twice per day. Only one problem that we use 2 small Vinamilk condense milk boxes which can be bought anywhere in the market with 3000vnd. We checked the bar menu and the milk is not listed there. We asked a room service staff and he said it might be free because it is not listed. When we checked out, we noticed the receptionist about the milk and she said we have to pay 90000vnd per box excluding tax. I knew that everything inside the resort is expensive but something charged 30 times more that its real value should be noted.

This hotel is beautifully designed. The rooms are large and very relaxing. All the restaurants serve great food and the staff are really professional.
The swimming pools are among the best in the world. Can't wait to visit again.
