First tip dont go on a holiday, weekend or afternoon, the queues are horendous. Try to be there when the gates open and spend all day relaxing in the cool air of the Bana Hills. Food is good value and not expensive although there are different levels you can eat at. The outdoor BBQ is the best value in my opinion. It is possible to stay overnight in the large hotel on top of the mountain. You are actually quite close to the border with Laos.

Truly amazing how they build such amazing structures with so little in so little time. The view from the cable car is stunning and gives you a view of true country side and plant life, the stillness in the car while allowing you to enjoy the sounds of water falls and animal life is so relaxing. To find three floors of fun park and stunning buildings at such heights while watching monkeys attempt to rob the tourist of any fruit is worth the trip. There are a few steps to climb but not over whelming and the meal at the restaurant is so good giving you time to take it all in. Can"t wait to see it again when it"s all completed.

We loved our ride on this cable car. Since it was a public holiday in Vietnam, we ended up waiting over two hours to board. But having so many people there added to the atmosphere, and it was worth the wait. Beautiful views, and we enjoyed the relief from the hot weather at the top of the mountain.

Firstly, be aware that at this point the facilities at the top of the hill are still a work in progress and construction continues. That said, the cable car ride alone is worth the effort and the entertainment at the top that is open is a lot of fun. It's not Disneyland or Dreamworld, but still we managed to win some prices in the arcade and amuse our selfs on the rides.
We arranged a private car from our hotel in Hoi An which cost $80, well worth doing as the 5 of us traveled in air conditioned comfort and could work to our own timetable. The drive to Ba Na took about an hour, a very interesting drive which took us through Da Nang on the way.
From the start at the bottom cable car station, to our return, took around 3 hours and we certainly didn't do everything at the top that was open.
Our parting comment is that we enjoyed ourselves enough to have decided to return in two years to see the finished product.

Was excited to experience the highest and longest cable car ride in the world. However, it was waste of time and money with most of building still on construction and least entertainment at the top of Ba Na Hills. Cab to Ba Na Hill was over charged VND480,000 from hotel that only about 30km away. Cable also over charged with VND400,000 per person.
