      If your about to book...DON'T!

If you've all-ready booked, then bad luck, but read on...

Located 25 min from Danang and the same again from Hoi Ann, you spend a lot of time at the resort itself.

And thats where its a trap. Because here come the prices! Expect mark up's on beverages in the order of 1300%!! That's right, a beer in a supermarket will cost 10,000 dong. At the VinPearl it will cost 120,000!! Who get's away with a 1200% mark up at ANY hotel in the western world? And where its down-right offensive is what they charge for water. On the street, in a restaurant or cafe expect to pay around 5000 to 7500 dong for a 500ml water. Vin pearls price...65,000!!!

So you think to yourself, "Ill beat 'em, I'll take myself off to the supermarket." 400,000 dong each way. Then when you get it home, you have to cool the drinks. The fridge they've installed is the size of a car fridge. And takes 24 hours to cool a drink.

So you may as well suck it up and throw yourself into the hotels activities! Try some towel folding or napkin folding! Maybe kite flying...the kite has a single string and will fly itself!

Well, you might as well drown your sorrows at the Hotels bars. But there is no one there. People do not frequent the bars. No atmosphere, no nightlife. BORING!

I can go on! But won't.

      Dear Juk7000,

We are very disappointed to read your comments regarding your recent stay. In terms of location, in order to have a quiet and private beach as well as a spacious area for numerous pools and outdoor areas, it is simply impossible to be located in any city center. The resort is only able to provide these luxuries by having a location such as it does.

Concerning the mark ups you mention, while it is true that in a supermarket some beers are indeed cheap, resorts here in Danang and the world over certainly must have a marked up price because of the cost involved in providing these services to guests. Including the buildings, amenities, thoroughly trained staff and countless other expenses. I assume that the prices in Australian resorts are not right on par with cost in a supermarket, where they only stack beer on a shelf. I would invite you to provide examples of 5 Star Beach Resorts that offer beer at 50 cents and the price you mentioned of $5-$6 is by no means extravagant for any resort in the area or elsewhere. In fact, we have received countless compliments from guests praising the low costs of cocktails at the pool for a resort such as ours.

Regarding the transfers between the city and Hoi An, we are happy to offer three shuttle buses per day to Hoi An, where you can certainly dine and have drinks at non-resort prices. With the rates we offer for rooms with our specials, we do not receive many comments like yours. We are indeed sorry that you feel the way you do, but we believe you are the minority in your feelings and we will continue to provide the service and amenities that have lead to so many excellent ratings over the past two years. Thank you

      Yours sincerely,
      Muhammad Irwan Goh

Vin pearl has a stunning beach located in front of it with many activities like jet skiing, soccer and volley ball. Besides that this hotel has amazing pools, beautiful and comfortable rooms with many unique features. Lovely staff that cater for your needs. The bar next to the main lobby also has activities like pool and foosball. This resort has a stunning viewing and a great spa. Overall Vin pearl is a luxurious resort for anyone. Nam our pool attendant was wonderful and so helpful and polite! We were amazed pool closed at 6pm as it was still so hot then but after 3 days we enquired and were advised you could still swim after 6pm just no attendant on duty (which is fine but should be made clear to guests unless we misinterpreted this advice). We ate out most days as we wanted to experience try Vietnamese food in Hoi An and to be honest the main restaurant on our first night wasn't fantastic- on the days we travelled into Hoi An (15/20mins only) we had to get a taxi there as the shuttle was full- perhaps the hotel could consider more transfer services however $15 each way by taxi was worth it. Good spa but have had better experiences in other countries at other hotels with better steam room/jacuzzi facilities. Would we return - yes!

Wow what a gorgeous gorgeous resort. Stunning pools, beautiful beach, stunning room, friendly staff. Why not a 5 star rating then?
      1. 30min shuttle into hoi an gets annoying and u have to stay for 3 hours at night which gets a bit much
      2. Food at resort is very expensive , this we could still accept however what is a problem is that only 1 restaurant was open with a very very very limited menu. Pool lunch menu also very very limiting. Hoi an offers such beautiful food yet hotel menu limiting and boring.

      Dear Sean H,

We are very happy to hear that you found the resort so gorgeous, the rooms so nice and especially the staff so friendly. We also appreciate your feedback as it only helps us to continue to improve the services we have available for our guests. While we do rotate the restaurant used for lunch and dinner to provide variety for the guests, we have set menus available with the items from both restaurants available. In addition, the à la carte menu from both restaurants can be ordered from during any meal. Again, we would like to thank you for your stay and hope to get the chance to welcome you back again in the future.

      Yours sincerely,

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vinpearl Luxury. You could not ask for more friendlier & helpful staff. Most speak extremely good English. Making you happy is their goal. The facilities are second to none. Only 20 mins into Hoi An. We will definitely be returning here. We love it!

Just spent 6 days at this resort. At first glance you can't help but be impressed with the rooms. The best hotel rooms we've experienced. Beautiful and expansive swimming pool with direct access to a clean flat beach. Very impressive facilities. However, we don't go on holidays to spend it in a room and we were very disappointed in the lack of entertainment and dining facilities. As the resort is located out of town , you need some entertainment at night. With the exception of 3 terrific serenaders who wandered through the restaurant at dinner time , there was nothing. They have a beachside bar but you can't get food there after 5pm and there is no music there. Also, No swim up bar, a must in luxury resorts these days . Unfortunately, the place is boring. Lucky we were in a group of 12 and we managed to extract the best of a bad situation with the 3 serenaders who also enjoyed our zest for joining in with them. There's only one restaurant which is mainly closed and the morning buffet area which they use for dinner as well. Food quality OK but again, not much variety. Had a BBQ night for $50us and it was undercooked and overpriced. Unless they got some entertainment, we wouldn't go back

      Dear Sherers,

Thank you very much for choosing us during your recent trip to Danang. While your comments regarding the rooms, pool areas and the beach are very warmly welcomed, we obviously were sad to hear that you were unsatisfied with the amount of entertainment available. In addition to the Filipino Band that entertains throughout the resort nightly, we also have a pianist that plays in the Lobby bar, as well as billiards, foosball, and a host of other activities, including cooking classes, board games and a host of other outdoor and indoor activities that change daily.
In regard to the BBQ Promotion, the rate is $25 and comes with a complimentary glass of wine or beer or soft drink in addition to the complimentary salad and dessert bar. We also have a “Home Made Pasta” night on Mondays and a “Lobster Night” every Wednesday.

Again, I would like to thank you and your group for your stay with us and appreciate the feedback as it will help us continue to improve.

      Yours sincerely,
      Muhammad Irwan Goh
