I spent two nights at An Nam. People were very kind to me. They helped me in several aspects. Prices were reasonable and the room was fine. Definetely I would repeat the experience. The hotel is well located.

Room Tip: Simple Room is fine.

Based on good reviews on several websites including tripadvisor, I booked a room in the hotel. Unfortunately, I also got the musty room without windows the other reviewer on tripadvisor wrote about. The shower was below average and the toilet seat not fixed. On top of that, the toilet paper roll was half empty and damp (felt as if it had fallen into the toilet). So, I had to ask for new toilet paper.
The staff is dodgy. I arrived by taxi. The bellboy tried to scam me with the taxi driver over the price for the taxi ride from the airport. Although it said 55000 on the meter, they wanted 115000 dong and gave all kinds of ridiculous explanations. I instisted on the 55000. The guy at the reception was not any better when I asked him about the price for a motorbike for the day...
The location is also neither here nor there. Well, at least there is a Trung Nguyen Coffeeshop 700 meters from the hotel.

On the plus side they had 4 or 5 international TV channels, including some movie channels. Also, generally it was quiet.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms withouts windows. At least one of them is seriously musty/smelly.

Perhaps it was a matter of miscommunication but we were not met at the airport as expected. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were shown to a spacious room but it smelt musty and it was hot.

I immediately called reception and asked if we can be relocated to another room, but was advised that is their best room. However, to give them their due, one of their staff member showed up with a fan but as there was one in the room already, we declined. We also found a packet of stale food left by the previous occupant so started wondering if the room has been serviced?

Fortunately, the room started cooling down but my nose continued to run due to the miloderous smell.........not happy. As we were only staying for the night, we decided not to make a fuss.

Definitely ok for an overnight stay but no more then that especially when other occupants started smoking and the smell of smoke came through the air conditioning system.

No problems at all with this modest hotel, clean, a big room, great ensuite, big picture window and very quiet at night. The staff were friendly and speak enough english to get by. They even provided a hire moto for $10 per 24 hrs.

Ok, they do not provide breakfast, but there is a cafe next door where you can get eggs (op let), a roll and a coffee for two for $5.

We'd happily stay here again.

Room Tip: go for room 601 or 501 or 401 - big, huge window and although on the street, is very quiet after 9pm...

Slept really well, great beds, clean modern rooms. Good location. Drawbacks: staff are a bit clueless (english is also poor), hall ways are noisy at night, and there is no restaurant. None of these were deterrants as we were only in Danang for a short time. Rooms are worth recommending.

I had a very pleasant stay here and the staff was great...very helpful. The beach was great and I am looking around Vietnam to open up my own business so this was a great hub to explore out of. They made me feel like family and I will always return to this hotel while searching for my own place to open up shop in. Thank you all for making my stays so wonderful. Much nicer than what I experienced in Thailand and I will not forget all my new Vietnamese friends.
