“Great value near the river, nice room and good breakfast”
Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

The hotel is very centrally located and our room was very tidy and spacious.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was cooked to order and nicely done.

The only thing stopping me giving this a 5 is that the bed was very hard and the room wasn't well insulated for noise. However from what I understand this is par for the course in Vietnam.

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment in terms of the quality of the rooms - we got a room in the older part of the hotel, but what do you expect when booking on a discounted site, right? The room was just a bit old, but it was large. The windows weren't very noise-proof which wasn't great when the construction on the skyscraper across the street picked up at around 7am.

Beyond the antiquity and noise, the room was just fine. A bit overpriced IMO.

The breakfast was very good, though, and the hotel's location is pretty central on the river side of Da Nang. It's not very close to the beach, so if you are more interested in hitting the sand then you might want to consider a place east of the river.

Room Tip: Apparently they have new, updated rooms - get one of those.

At the time of writing this review, this hotel was ranked 13 out of 92, however I surely can't understand why. We arrived in Danang and went to the hotel counter where it seemed everyone was to above us to help us. Granted the hotel is fairly well located near the river, especially for the price, so if you don't care about service at all and just want a small room that's close to the river, then this may be fine for you. We did also have a plethora of tiny little ants also in our room, which was irritating to say the least, but not the worst. This is the perfect example of you get what you pay for although we found amazing hotels in Hanoi and Hue for the same price, so I'm not really sure how to justify it. Anyway, you be the judge.

I stayed 3 nights here in June 2013. I found the staff to be very helpful, kind and eager to help in any way. My room was perfectly acceptable for the price, shower was good and the aircon worked well. I did not find the items in the mini bar to be overpriced. The location is very central and close to everything. Taxis and motos are cheap. The only downside was being waken up at 4:30 every morning by Quasimodo ringing the church bell long and loud (wear ear plugs to bed).
Breakfast is free and delicious, I mostly had Pho and the yoghurt and coffee is great also.

If I ever come back to Da Nang I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night and would return if we were in Da Nang again. Good central location two streets from the riverfront. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. The rooms are clean, spacious and biggest bed we have ever seen! Plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. The wifi was excellent too.

Stayed one night in Transit to Dalat. Booked a superior double but got smallish sized room with 2 single beds. A room down tbe hall was vacant with its door open it was twice as large with a superking. Our fridge did not work amd infact ran very hot. For one night was no big drama. The staff were friendly and the location is great. Lots of restaurants cafes and coffee shops close by too.

As people have mentioned before, the location of this hotel is GREAT!!! It's close to the Han Market so you can go and buy a hat, indulge in some local fruit if you want to, it's close to the Cham Museum which I enjoyed very much, and a few minutes to the Han River to stroll at night, taking in the lights dancing on the waters, and the Cathedral is just next door!
The hotel rents out motorbikes as well as bicycles (which cost about USD 2 a day) for you to rent without the hassle of going out to look for one.
The staff here speak English quite well, and THAT was great! Vietnamese people do not seem to speak English that well when compared to those of other South Eastern Asian countries, so I was worried before checking in, as I had a complicated travel schedule, and had needed their help going to the airport and back and picking up someone etc. But they were a great help and everything went smoothly.
The rooms are nothing spectacular, but everything worked well, and the rooms were quite spacious so I have nothing to complain about at all.
All in all, it was a very nice stay, and if you're a city person like myself, the location is something others should envy.
