This is not an all vegetarian restaurant, and generally I would not venture into this, but having read about it, it seemed the kind of place that had 'saatvik' written all over it. And we were not disappointed. How could we, when kathleen was our gracious hostess, showing us around the restaurant, the kitchen, the bakery, ntroducing her staff,a nd teaching us sign language and the wonderful world of silence in which these people live.
Besides the noble intentions and the wonderful execution, the food is truly outstanding. It is more of a cafe and snack place with a little bit for everyone. We had a veggie burger, fried eggplants on a bun, fries, excellent iced coffees, fresh juices, all with a lot of TLC. We rounded it off with the most delicious banana bread (toasted with butter) that I have ever had. And guess what? It ws Monday so it ws Lamington cake day! Well, I had no idea what is Lamington, until we literally saw it being baked in the kitchen and Kathleen explained its origins from Australia, and pronto we had a slice fesh from the oven. It was heavenly. But it is only made on Mondays, so make sure you are there on a Monday.
Well, if you are in Da Nang or Hoi An, this is the only place to eat.
