Great rooms, great atmosphere, great breakfast, great staff, I would certainly recommend it as a base in Hoi An. Other rooms mention noise from the street which I didn't notice - you're in Vietnam, the streets are always noise for goodness sake :-)

We did not have a hotel booked prior to heading into Hoi An. We just walked around and found this hotel. First impressions we found the hotel clean and a nice hotel.

The washroom was floor to wall marble with a glass shower room but when you take a shower the entire washroom becomes a pool. The drain was just outside of the shower stall so the water would have to flow to the rest of the washroom and then finds its way into the drain. There was no washroom fan so bunking with two others cause some problems.

The bedrooms were very basic. Television, no room safe, sheets were clean. The air con, worked well enough. We had a little problem accessing the wifi in our room. We would have to stand outside the door or sit at the pool.

The breakfast was not the best. The varity was slim and with all the fruit flys all over the food you dont want to eat it. There is a fresh omlet station. That is your best bet.

The location was the only good thing. It was just outside the populated areas so it was close to get everywhere but quiet at night.

The room we had was right next to the street and can get very noisy very early in the morning. Very old TV and the picture was never clear (have to play with the cable connection a bit andit would be ok temporarily). We would constantly get dirty towels with stains on them even though the say that they are clean. The room smells quite funky, but bearable. The washroom was my biggest complaint. There is no shower door, the toilet is right next to the shower and there is a half glass partition separating the shower from the rest of the floor and once the shower is running, the entire floor of the washroom is soaked and puddles are everywhere. Yes, there is a drain in the middle of the washroom floor, but it takes a very long time to drain the amount of water that spills all over. Aside from the half partition, there is nothing to deflect the water back into the shower drain (no tub, no shower curtain, no border on the floor separating the shower from the rest of the floor). I only give it a poor, because the beds are not very comfortable, the shower problem, the constantly dirty/stained towels and the breakfast was exposed mostly and flies were all over the food every morning. On a good note, the staff was friendly, there is a pool (but I never swam here) and it was close to most of the stuff in the area that we wanted to do.

Room Tip: Try to ask for a room away from the busy street corner.

One of several with the same name - make sure you carry a card. Superbly located close to everything, some rooms on the main road can be noisy - particulary when we travelled as they were resurfacing the road overnight. Spacious clean rooms and many have quaint balconies which are a pleasure to sit on and watch the world go by. Pool is just a huge added bonus!

my wife and i had the great pleasure of staying at the Vinh Hung 2 Hotel in Hoi An for 6 nights this November.
when i made the booking over the internet i asked if we could have a nice room as it was going to be my wife's birthday while we were in Hoi An and we were also going to celebrate our 51st wedding-anniversary.
the room was great, spotlessly clean, well-appointed and we had a small balcony, so we could see the activities in the street. the room also had a double glass dorr, to keep any street-noises out.
the buffet breakfast was very nice with western and asian food and an egg-station.

on my wife's birthday we went out and came back to the hotel for a rest in the afternoon when there was a knock on the door and there were 2 staff-members (Cristal and Lona) with a bunch of flowers and a birthday cake, with "Happy Birthday, Mrs. Isabel".) and they both sang Happy Birthday.

on our wedding-anniversary we went out again and when we came back in the afternoon our room was decorated wih balloons and on the bed was a huge heart, made from rose-petals and a bottle of wine and 2 glasses and underneath the heart "Happy 51" again made out of rose-petals.

that really made our stay at Hoi An very special and we would like to thank the reception staff and in particular Cristal and Lona for their thoughtful gestures, you are all beautiful.

and by the way, Hana makes the best scrambled eggs in the morning for breakfast.

we can really recommend the Vinh Hung 2 Hotel. Apart from wonderful staff it is a very nice hotel close to everything and modern.

THANK YOU all again for making our trip a memorable one and we will never forget your kindness.

Room Tip: room 204 was very pleasant
