“great facilities, very clean, location, location, location”
Reviewed April 20, 2011

I'm going to start from the beginning and give the good, the bad and the ugly (if there are any).

We arrived at Hoi An, to a waiting driver (booked via email to the hotel) for a cost of $20US. The driver was very informative, chatty and teaching us little bits of Vietnamese. He wanted to take us to Marble Mountain on the way past, but we said no as we just wanted to check in. Later found out when looking at the information book in the hotel room, that this would've cost extra $$$, which I'm sure would've been added on to the bill at the end.

We arrived to check in and the lady explained we were getting twin beds, husband and I looked at each other. A bit of talking and requesting and we were given a double room - we had booked a superior deluxe garden view room. On arrival at our room, it was lovely to discover it was a king size bed!!!! The rooms are large, with a good size bathroom, shower over bath, so bath if you so required.

The staff were great, especially the housekeeping, who seemed to go out of their way to make up pretty floral hearts on our made up beds.

The pool was lovely, good temperature, very clean and lots of reclining sunchairs around. As mentioned by someone else, the tiles were slippery - just walk carefully.

Location, location, location - great - a short walk into town - no need for taxis.

Breakfast was great - fruit, pastries, fresh cooked omelettes, eggs, bacon, sausages, yoghurt, cereal and your noodles and rice. Lots of juices and coffee, tea. Breakfast is open from 6am - 10am.

Across the room is some little street side stalls that rent out bicycles $1US a day and laundry $1US kg - great value, about a 1/3 of the price of the hotel. We used laundry service twice, dropped off in the morning and picked it up by 5pm, clean and ironed. Used rental bicycles too- picked up at 8am, dropped off at 6pm - such a bargain.

The night before we left, husband and I indulged in a facial for me and manicure/pedicure for me at the hotel's spa/beautician - excellent value and great service. The price was added to the room charge.

all in all, a great place to stay. Just my husband and myself stayed, but we'd definitely bring kids back, knowing there are things for them to do there and the hotel is so close to town.

The hotel organised a few trips, but I thought they were a bit overpriced. You live and learn, so in hindsight I'd book my own trips.

As the hotel is right on the river, some people have commented about the noise from the boats going past, from early in the morning to late at night (tutt, tutt sound), but I personally didn't mind, it added to the ambience of Vietnam (Hoi An)

This was my first stay here and my travelling companions second stay.
We tried to arrange a specific room before we arrived and although informed us that we would be in that room for our stay it fell through on check in and had to saty in another room the first night then move the following day.The room was needed for a large group that arrived the day before us.
i was impressed with the location and the facilities of this hotel and thought that it was quite lovely and so peaceful.
The breakfast was very good each morning and the afternoon menu sampling of vietnamese food was lovely.
The gym is very sparse but fortunately not too popular so waiting for equipment isn't a problem.
I did notice that the towels had been replaced with new white fluffy ones.
It rained and was quite cool the whole time we were there (end of March) so we didn't get to use the pool which was a shame as it is lovely and looked very clean.
There dose appear to be bus loads of tourists arriving and departing every day.The majority of the grpups that were there during our stay were European and Canadian, but as one previous reviewer noted that preference seemed to be given to these groups I would have to agree, based on our experience there.

We spent a nice stay in this hotel; rooms are clean and well furnished.
The garden is nice with a good swimming pool.
They organize a small buffet with local food at 4h30pm, this is a very interesting moment.
The breakfast is very good and complete.
Staff is speaking French.

Very nice stay.

My family and I stayed 3 days at this beautiful resort in Hoi An. Our room, overlooking the river, was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We used the pool, whichi is large and very clean, often. The restaurant provides exeptional food and service. Teh Vinh Hung Resort is conveniently located near the Hoi An shopping district, but is remote enough to give a sense of seclusion and privacy. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this resort.

My partner and i loved this place! Great food, great service and the rooms were clean- and big!!

5min walk to the ancient town makes it the perfect location. The pool was always clean, with a swim- up bar. Staff were always friendly and welcoming. 10/10, would stay here again!

Breakfast included: a buffet of continental, English, and Vietnamese items laid out artistically on 2 long boats. Eggs/Omelets made to order.

Trip Planning available. We took the bus trip to My Son which was an excellent partly guided tour. Our guide, Dung, spoke good English and was very informative.

Airport transfer included.

Deluxe room with river view was spacious, had air conditioning, welcome fruit and water, tv, and comfortable mattress. Most mattresses in our 4 hotels were very firm!

There were some improvements that could be made: the balcony doors were difficult to open; the jacuzzi is a nice idea but was as loud as a boat engine so was hardly relaxing; the lock on the door would stick in the locked position making it difficult to leave the room.

Overall excellent value for money, comfortable, and worth getting the better room.

Location right on the river , embedded into the local community. However, it has been known to get flooded (along with the rest of the city) during the rainy period. A short walk (10 minutes at most) to the historic district in Hoi An.

Excellent full restraurnt. In the evenings the resort hosts a two hour complimentary social of local food tasting.

While we were there, the resort was used extensively by tour groups. Assume this is the normal situation.

Was rather unique to hear a rooster crow every morning before dawn.

The floors in the rooms are tile so it can be bothersome if the guests in the room above are extremely active or constantly moving furniture.
