Description: By setting up this restaurant our aim was to create a unique space in Hoi An following the concept of being eco -friendly and cultural experience, close to the nature, where - beside the food - you can enjoy the beautiful view to the rice paddies & the river. To get more insight into Vietnamese culture, you can try several traditional folk games or even catching fish by your own hands in our restaurant. We serve quality Vietnamese and fusion dishes, prepared to order, using fresh local organic ingredients. We offer various set & buffet menus to choose from, and menus can be customized to suit any occasion and taste. The place is perfect for groups, families or couples, suitable for different types of events, like gala dinners, banquets or outdoor barbeque parties, especially dinning on bamboo house in the rice filed or on the raft in the river. The restaurant has plenty of space: a bamboo house just on the riverside, a main house - overlooking the rice fields - with balcony, bar and lounge area, a bamboo gazebo on the lake, and a huge grass area. Whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a relaxing dinner, or an appetizer and cocktails, our experienced and courteous staff will make your visit a memorable one.

Slap bang in the middle of a rice paddy is where you will find this idyllic restaurant. As you walk in you are set for another treat as the setting is by a beautiful lake. You have a choice a sitting in the garden overlooking this, which we took, ( until it rained)
The food is delicious and unique to this restaurant, cocktails good too! Service was excellent, would certainly go back next time we are in Vietnam.

we arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by a lovely young lady named Teia (sorry if I spelt it wrong!) We were given the option to sit anywhere around the gardens and settled upon the amazing landscaped pond and patio.

The cocktails and food were very yummy, but the stand out from the night was defiantly Teia showing us the traditional Vietnamese games, such as the clay smashing and the fish catching in the artificial pond

We will defiantly be returning!

We firstly had yoga before our dinner which was a nice experience. Bug spray here is necessary as it is situated on a lake as well as the rice paddies so there are lots of mosquitos.
We were the only people dining there that evening as it was low season.
Service was great, and the wine was fantastic as well. Kept in great temperature, and lovely large red wine glasses (I hate little glasses as it can't breathe properly).
The menu is... interesting. Perhaps a little different than I would have liked, but my boyfriend liked it. He got bamboo beef which we recommend. The location is very romantic, it is very secluded, and we also recommend to do the yoga beforehand. The teacher is lovely and very accomodating with times - we requested the session to be from 5:30-6:30 (an hour later than usual) so we could dine at the restaurant after and she was very accomodating. Lovely place that is new, possibly partially undiscovered, but with a little tweaking of the menu has the potential to be amazing.

Thank you for taking time to post a review; we are glad that you enjoyed the yoga class and dinner afterwards.
It would be nice to know why you found the menu interesting. We offer traditional Vietnamese dishes, and trying to make the menu different than in other restaurants. We always appreciate our guests’ feedback; please do not hesitate to share your opinion with the staff so that we can make your experience better.
At some time during the year we do have mosquitoes, as we are located next to the river and the rice fields. We prefer not to use chemicals to fight against bugs, as it is not only harmful for our vegetables and fish in the lake, but for the environment too. Instead we offer mosquito repelling incense and oil as well for our guests for free - it might not be obvious, we will be sure to let the guests know about it.
Thank you again and we hope to see you soon at The Field!

Beautiful location set amougst the rice paddies just out of town. Food was delicious, a little more expensive than town but it was all prepared fresh while you enjoyed the magnificent view. We had a really lovely lunch here!

Like most others that have reviewed this restaurant we stumbled upon this hidden gem as we were riding past it one day. As we were staying at the Hoi An Ancient House Village Resort and Spa it took less than 2 minutes by pushbike to get there.

The food... amazing!! Very authentic Vietnamese food with a modern take. We ordered two appetizers (we asked for their recommendations which we were glad we did), two mains and two desserts. The food took a little longer than your average streetside vendors/restaurants but once we got our meals we could see why. The food is meticulously presented and you can tell everything has been prepared fresh from scratch and hasn't been sitting there all day.

The beef on lemongrass skewers were sublime with very strong flavours, the pandan wrapped chicken was very succulent (chicken in Vietnam normally has a tendancy to be a bit dry/tough), and the minced prawn balls coated in puffed green rice (sorry forgot the exact name) had great crispy and moist textures.

The staff were very very friendly on the multiple occasions we went and the setting in the rice paddies is very tranquil and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit with the food being different from every other vendor in Hoi An. Didn't try out their traditional games as we thought they were there mainly for the kids but next time we may have to unleash our inner child!
