Certificate of Excellence

I had read only positive reviews for the Ha An Hotel in Hoi An and booked to stay there for that reason. From the moment we arrived until we left the entire experience was exceptional. The rooms were immaculate the bathrooms a treat, the dining experience exceptional and the staff so helpful. I can't recommend it enough.

We stayed 3 nights at the Ha An hotel in Hoi An and enjoyed everything about the hotel and the town itself.
The hotel accommodation was very clean and the staff were
friendly and helpful.Breakfast at the hotel was well above the standard of other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam.
We wished that our stay at the Ha An had been a bit longer
and look forward to staying there again.
Booking on line before departing to Vietnam did present some problems, which ended with me having to fax the confirmation print out from our hotel in Nha Trang
to the Ha AN hotel when I rang to confirm.
I think that the Ha An did not have our booking and when we checked out one staff member charged us their standard room
rate, when the account was queried , another noticed the fax attached to the bill and charged us
about $60Au more for two rooms as per booking.
I have no complaints against the hotel but wished that the
Ha An would make their phone number a lot easier to find
so I could avoid paying more for rooms that I ended up booking myself.

Was a little concerned when my son told me what the cost was...too inexpensive for it to be a nice place I thought...I couldn't have been more wrong!! What a wonderful little hotel..just a block or so from the shops and ancient city. Absolutely the best breakfast buffet we've had...and they will pick you up for just$16us in Danang. Excellent staff, friendly and informative. Free bicycles

We've stayed at Ha An multiple times, and it has never let us down.

Excellent rooms, with soft beds, cable tv, excellent air-conditioning, a bathroom you'd swear was out of a Conde Nast traveller, great surrounds, and friendly helpful staff.

It's a steal at the price, and hopefully Vietnamese double-digit inflation doesn't force it up too much, too soon.

Best hotel we've stayed at in Indochina, an absoulte steal for arounr $40-$50.

Oh, great breakfast - ask for the omelette.

Nice refreshing welcome drink upon arrival. Friendly service and checked us in quickly. Loved the location...right in town, but not smack in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. You simply walk one block down and there is everything and the river is about 2 blocks away. Yaly Couture (if you're interested in getting clothing made) is VERY close by and makes it easy to stop by, get things made and move on...not far out of your way. Their breakfast buffet was impressive...everything was fresh and fantastic. Excellent variety and excellent ambience in their little outdoor restaurant. They also provide a fruit basket each day and complimentary water. The rooms on the lower level have a great rock shower. I really liked the room, the decor was fresh, everything was very clean, and well, we can complain about the beds till the cows come home...virtually all beds in all the hotels are relatively, uh, firm. These however, were slightly better than some of the others we had the "pleasure" of staying at. Free internet service, about 4 computers. They can arrange tours and transfers, but actually less expensive to do on your own. Not saving a ton, but about $4.
Would happily stay here again.

After reading such fantastic reviews on this website, I decided to give this hotel a go. I couldn't book it with other websites so contacted them directly, via email. They were a little slow getting back to me but once confirmed, all was fine. Upon arrival at the hotel I was taken aback with the attention to detail and list of 'freebies' that they included in their US$50 per night (First Class room). We arrived to a large room with lovely freshwhite linen, a french balcony, airconditioning, tv and large bathroom. Addtionally there was a fresh fruit baset, bottle of mineral water and sparkling water, all replenished daily. There were also large bunches of fresh lillies, rose petals strewned around the bed, a shower curtain held together with flowers, little pots of toiletries, shaving boxes, toothbrushes/paste packs, again, all replenished daily! The front desk service was always fantastic, with good english (a bit of a rarity here!) and the restaurant served one of the best breakfasts you could want - a mixture of Vietnamese or western - you name it, they had it! A chef also cooked eggs/bacon to your liking. Ha An Hotel had all the trimmings of a 5 star hotel for a very reasonable price! Bikes were also offered free of charge to guests, for ease in moving around this lovely, almost Eurpoean layout of a town. The location was fantastic - just far enough away (50m) from the markets and yet tranquil during the day/night. The Courtyard in the middle of the hotel made for a great way to have a drink with other guests - there was even a pool table and hammock to use. Free Internet and a 'library ' service to swap/borrow mags and books operated on an honour basis. This was a real stretch for me to do a cheapish hotel - but I felt like a million dollars coming back to Ha An Hotel each day - especially at night, when all the garden lighting came on and the hotel looked divine! Oh, and did I mention I'm extremely fussy??

We spent 2 nights here and we were happy that we chose this hotel. It's located along a quiet street, about 10 minutes' walk or less from the main street. The garden of the hotel is spacious and nice and the room (standard) we had was lovely even though it was non-garden view and rather small with little room for 2 people to walk past each other. Rose petals scattered everywhere, even on the bed, was a nice touch, we thought. And most importantly, the room was very clean. However, the curtain does not block out the light so you'll be woken up rather early if you're a light sleeper. There was no pool either but we didn't have time for one anyway. Breakfast was decent (small buffet) but we did not get to try the food at the restaurant. Service of the front-desk staff was excellent. One of them, Ms Linh, gave us a very warm welcome and also arranged all our private car tours for a good price. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.
