“Best accommodation in Vietnam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2014

Green tea Homestay is the best accommodation in Vietnam you can find. I have travelled around for a while and after comparison I believe that in terms of quality and price, you cannot find better.
The location is perfect, not in the heart of the hustle and bustle, about 5 min by bicycle, 15 min walking, and in a very quiet and more "local" area.
It is perfect after hours in the tailor shops or walking around the busy streets of the ancient town.
The beach is not far either and there are very good local restaurants nearby along the river.
Green tea Homestay is very comfortable place to come back to.
The rooms are so clean and tidy, with large windows and huge beds. Breakfast is delicious and served in a very lovely patio.
Above all the family is very welcoming, gentle and helpful
I truly recommend the green tea Homestay and find it the best you can hope for, especially for moderate budget.

I arrived as a guest but left as a friend
I am doing research in Vietnam and had to stay in Hoi An for a few weeks. Each time I stayed with the family at green tea i felt at home, which is rare when travelling far away from home.
The rooms are large enough to accommodate a desk, wifi works all the time, there are enough plugs to charge phone, laptop, camera etc at the same time, wardrobes are large enough to unpack a suitcase and bathroom is comfortable. Breakfast is all you need and the family is heart warming and helpful and very supportive.
It was a pleasure to meet them and I will definitely stay with them again next time I will conduct research in the area.
Thank you all. Minh Ha

When I first arrived at Green Tea Homestay, I felt it's location was way off the old town. However, the hospitality & attention to details from the hosts won me over. Guests here also have access to bicycles provided by the hosts foc. (Once you get the hang of it, the experience of cycling in the atmospheric Hoi An is simply surreal, memorable). Nice courtyard to have breakfast & to mingle with fellow travellers.

Super clean room, fantastic beds, very friendly family that tried everything to make this stay enjoyable.
Overall a very pleasant place. The only drawback is the distance to the old town. It's a 15 minute walk.

Room Tip: The back room is a bit dark.

This is by far the nicest and most relaxing place we have stayed at during our travels in Asia. We had a family room, which were actually two interconnecting rooms. Our beds were very comfortable. We had plenty of space and even had two bathrooms!!! The owners and staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had bikes to use everyday and enjoyed riding into town and to the beaches. We had so many choices to pick from every morning for breakfast. The owners invited all their guests to a New Year's Eve dinner, which was amazing!!! We highly recommend Green Tea Homestay to anyone who plans on visiting Hoi An!!!

We were unsure how we would like this property but it exceeded our expectations. The family were lovely and could not do enough to help us. Also the rooms were fantastic and very comfortable - well priced and included a great breakfast.

Room Tip: choose the family room - costs a little more but has own balcony and entrance and great size

We really enjoyed our stay in December - made other accommodations from earlier in the trip seem a bit crummy by comparison. While the location is a bit out of the Old Town, we enjoyed riding in and out of town along the river every day (and night).
The family is really lovely, service is really good and all the extras like the free breakfast and free bikes make you appreciate what a good deal this place is. They even give you access to their supply of purified water at no cost, and if that doesn't appeal to you they also put loads of bottled water in your fridge - which does come at a cost but is the same as in any of the corner stores.
The little attached eating area also whips up delicious local food for very cheap rates, cheaper than you will get in the Old Town but just as good.
Wifi can be slow, we usually sat outside to get a good signal as they were upgrading their modem while we were staying there. So it may be a lot better by now, but you didn't come here to surf the net in any case. They give good recommendations for tailors and tours as well.
Would 100% stay here next time in Hoi An - you should too!
