A 4 1/2 hour, 10km long Christmas dinner which was absolutely fantastic.

We were taken to real, traditional, everyday Vietnamese food outlets to eat real Vietnamese food, which tourists would otherwise be mostly unable to find to enjoy, by two wonderful, friendly and very personable guides with very good English and a genuine enthusiasm for your enjoyment of the tour.

We met our guides outside a shop in Hoi An on our rented bicycles (bicycles would have been rented on our behalves if we hadn't any) and began the tour. After a very short ride we stopped for our first course of street food, cooked over a barbeque, where we sat and ate a delicious course. Then another short ride brought us to another stall where more food was bought for us. This cycle continued through the afternoon: a short ride, including minor guided tours of the local areas that the tourists don't see, to some more food, and again.

We ate 7 courses of food over the day, all of which was delicious, and made for one of the best Christmas dinners I've eaten. The food was ordered for us and included in the comparatively modest tour price and we saw a slice of real Vietnamese life that, as a tourist, would be otherwise inaccessible: Even if you did get to one of these places, you wouldn't know what to order or how to order it.

At the end of the day, we were full but not uncomfortably so, and had a genuine sense of real enjoyment of the day.

A Christmas afternoon well spent; I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Hong and Nguyen were great guides. Their English was exceptional and their knowledge of the local food scene was very informative and interesting. Would not hesitate in recommending this tour as a great way to see Hoi An.

Food was excellent and varied, new stuff all the time. Lots of food I would not eat in restaurants I would not eat were it not for the tour. Also got to see a lot of Hoi An. Guides were friendly and informative, after a while it felt more like hanging out with some local friends than being on a tour.

One of the most memorable things we did in Vietnam - a chance to get to try street food and ride a motorbike all in one tour. Each of the guides spoke great English and were really safe drivers - they were lots of fun to hang out with. They even helped us when trying balut (fertilized duck egg) by spooning more salt, pepper, green papaya (anything to mask the true taste LOL) But don't worry, other than that one "delicacy," the rest of the food we tried was delicious - bahn mi, which I like to think of as Vietnamese-style cheesteak, a dish with fried quail eggs, some of the most delicious scallops I've ever had (with peanut/scallion relish), all kinds of things in little corners of Hoi An that we never would have found or tried if we hadn't taken the tour. We had such a blast!!!!

A must do in Hoi An and particularly do it as soon as possible in your stay to let you dine like a local for the rest of your stay. The guides, Hoa and Van, showed a whole feast of food with lots of interesting information about the food and sights along the way. They were great guides - really friendly, great English and a really funny sense of humour. I whole heartedly recommend th is!
