“Extremely relaxing”

I stayed here for 1 night and wished it had been longer! The location is fabulous, nestled inbetween the river and sea. The private beach is perfect, and from what I saw you don't get hastled like you do further down (which is constant). My room was a deluxe with a river view and it was brilliant. Very peaceful, large and comfortable. The swimming pools vary. I used the larger one as it was clear, the infinity pool seemed a little murky. I very much enjoyed swimming lengths and it was very quiet which was lovely! The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend that you bring bug spray as the location is by the river and naturally you will get a few bitey insects. The restaurant is great for breakfast with a good choice of food and wonderful fruit! I found the prices of the food very high though so I went outside the hotel. The complementary transfers were an excellent addition as there are so many. All in all, a great stay and wish I had been here all week!

Room Tip: Riverside deluxe rooms are great. I would go for 1st floor with a balcony but you might want a littl...

We booked two rooms 4 months prior to arriving with travelling friends. Our allocated room was not suitable as the room layout had the double bed stuck in the middle of room as it was a room designed for single beds as they tried to put us with side by side rooms. The other room was fine.
Their plan was right just no executed so well.
We were moved to another room which didn't have the beach view we were after but it was fine.

We also seemed to get stuck with the late room service for most of the time which got a bit annoying. But to be fair when I pointed this out they were very apologetic and said that was an error and took steps to fix the issue immediately.

On the positive and there was certainly plenty of them, The staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast provided had a great range and very enjoyable.

The property was clean and nicely presented as were the rooms and the swimming pool was great.

The location was right across the road from the beach, which was a great beach, the local shops were great with plenty of bars, restaurants to choose from. There are also enough shops to keep people happy for hours.

The old town is only a short and cheap taxi ride away, and the airport is only about 30 mins taxi ride away

On the whole I would recommend the Hoi An beach resort and I would definitely return.

Room Tip: Upstairs beach side would be great. Some complained about the road noise but we certainly didn't...

We stayed at the resort for six nights in 2 river view villas. The restaurant and the swimming pool area also overlooked the river, which contained wallowing water buffalos. It was also interesting to watch the local fishermen fishing with some traditional techniques. Our villas were spacious, clean and comfortable, lovely bathrooms. Plantation style décor which we liked. Breakfast was fantastic lots of variety. The staff were friendly and helpful, I had a birthday during our stay and the staff really made a lovely effort. The resort also has a private beach. There is a free shuttle bus service which commutes into Hoi An town every few hours between 9am - 9pm. The town has great markets and shops. In the evenings the restaurants and eateries put out their lanterns and the display in town and particularly along the river is stunning. A relaxing tropical stay. Enjoyed the cooking class,

Room Tip: river view villas have the best views as the beach is across the road from the resort.

First impression of this hotel was very nice. Until we got to our room.
We had the so-called double deluxe-room. Not much deluxe over it. First thing we saw was a lizard running across the floor. And then we noticed the smell. Mould. It was so bad that the paint was falling off the walls. So we complained and wanted to upgrade to a better room. The staff said the hotel was fully booked, so we couldn't get an upgrade until the next day. We could clearly see that the hotel was NOT fully booked as this was the low-season and there was not much people there. But they were doing some renovation on one of the buildings, so I guess they used it as an excuse...

Anyway, the next morning we paid 60 USD (for 4 nights) to upgrade to a villa with sea-wiev. Wow, what a difference! Couldn't see much of the sea as the was too many palm-trees blocking the view, but the room was amazing! Big, clean, lovely bathroom and a nice balcony.

Also there is an infinity-pool right next to the restaurant, and this is a lovely area. Perfect for relaxing, having drinks by the pool and the staff is so friendly and helpful.
And the food in the restaurant was wery good, both breakfast and dinner.

All in all, a very nice hotel. Just stay away from the so-called deluxe rooms.
Would definitely stay here again, in a villa. :-)

Room Tip: Choose the villa-rooms! Stay away from the so-called deluxe-rooms Not much deluxe about them...

We stayed here for five nights in March, after a long travel in Vietnam we wanted to relax and live it up a little. We paid almost 100 dollars per night for a beach view villa. The villa was big enough and the standard was great apart from the shower not being properly cleaned, but the only view we had was of a fence, and the only noise we heard was from the road on the other side of it. There are two pools which are both great, and a private beach, though we didn't use that much because it was windy. Breakfast was fantastic, even for people with allergies. Be aware that this place is a long way from the city, which by the way is seriously over-rated. Tourism has taken over completley, so there is no proper feeling of Vietnam neither in restaurants in the city or the shops that are there. It's all rather boring really. We are a lesbian couple travelling, and we decided to be a bit careful in Vietnam, but it seems to be more openness in Hoi An than further north. One of the employees at the hotel seemed to find it very amusing that we were a couple, and couldn't stop laughing whenever she saw us, which was rather uncomfortable and unprofessional when you work at an international hotel. Most people staying at this hotel are a bit older (40+), so it's not a great place to meet people when you're a young budget traveller. Overall, the hotel was good, breakfast was excellent, service was somewhat strange and the place was dull and not worth all that money.

First time in Vietnam to celebrated a belated honeymoon and a birthday and we came straight into this great resort.
With the river on one side and a private beach on the other it offers the best of both.
We found the service here was great, though not to the standard you might expect for a standard five star resort in other parts of the world. But the staff were always really friendly and happy to offer any assistance required.

It is a bit of a hike into town, but taxis are cheap enough and always available.
There is a money machine just around the corner at another nearby hotel, so you don't have to go into town for cash.
There's also a pharmacy nearby, which has most of the things you tend to need as a traveler - panadol, imodium, etc.

The only thing I would comment on is that we did get a bit sick of staff recommending there "sister's" tailor shop in town - which of course would always offer the cheapest price and best quality in town. But we could live with ti given how much we loved staying here.

Hping to go back again!
