“Pleasant surprise in off-season”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

Booked this place sight unseen, very pleasantly surprised. Spread out, low rise buildings, furnishings modern, rooms spacious and bathrooms comfortable. Across the road from a vast white sand beach, a real gem even in December storms off the South China Sea. Hotel pool was clean and has a swim up bar. Food is fine in main restaurant, buffet at breakfast has Asian and Western food, lots of fresh produce even in winter. Rented kayak for paddling on river behind resort, not expensive and staff friendly and helpful. Always smiling. Taxis available into Hoi An or can even take an hour water taxi back to resort from town. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms closest to road can be a little noisy on sunny days with beach traffic.

I have stayed in the Hoi An Hotel many times but this was my first stay in the Hoi An Beach Resort. The rooms are of a similar style to those in the Hoi An Hotel except they are broken up into 8 room 2 story blocks. There are a number of small local restaurants close by and the beach is just across the road.

I enjoyed my stay here but I found it was a little too far away from the Hoi An old town and its amazing array of shops. There is a shuttle bus but it is small and often packed, and with 2 hours between buses often a taxi is the only option which is okay since it costs only about 3 dollars for the trip by meter,

If you are a dedicated shopper then I would suggest you stay at the Hoi An Hotel. If you want to relax and ignore the shopping then the Hoi An Beach Resort is the place to be.

The staff are friendly, the food is good but I would point out, if you have mobility problems then insist on a ground floor, there are no lifts at all in this resort. Breakfasts were good.

Had a good stay here for my girlfriends birthday.
Lovely large clean rooms, i paid extra for a riverfront room. Lovely setting sat on the terrace overlooking the river. Very romantic.

Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice.
Beach was nice with quite large waves as it was rather windy but 40c!
Only downside was drink prices from beach bar, very over priced.

According to wanderlust travel magazine Hoi an is rated as the number 1 city to visit. I cant understand why. Its not a bad place to visit but best in the world? Im clueless

Room Tip: Pay extra for riverfront room

We stayed here for 9 nights and we think it has the best location in Hoi An, the beach is just across the road and it is sandwiched between the river and the beach, there is a lovely little shopping strip just around the corner from the hotel.

It is away from the hassle and bustle of the town Center, but only 10 minutes away in the hotels free shuttle bus, which leaves every hour to ancient town.
Location is just like a quiet little oasis, but still with plenty to do.
The grounds are kept immaculate by the ever attending ground staff with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the peace.
This is not a brand new complex, but this adds to the charm of the place, however I believe they are closing it down for 6 months to renovate it. Don't worry about the traffic noise, it is not that bad, it doesn't get busy until or so until after 8 am. By that time the rooster has woken you anyway, lol

We will definitely be recommending it to our friends and staying here again on our return visit, the location alone makes it a winner

The Buffet breakfast is amongst the best we have ever had, the bacon is amazing, you forget just how real bacon tastes like.
Breakfast is had in the dining room which abuts the river, breakfast is had while the fishermen able past in the various size bamboo boats to do their days fishing, the rooster crows in the farmers yard on the other side of the river, all making for a serene setting.
The staff are all very friendly and accommodating to any concerns or queries you might have, we had a concern with our air conditioner one day, called reception, and someone was attending to it within 60 seconds of our call.

Room Tip: Get a firm price off the taxi drivers if you are wanting to go to ancient town, it should be around...

This hotel really has it all . . . Two small pools overlooking the river, private area on Cua Dai beach just steps from the property, well appointed, comfortable rooms, laid back atmosphere. We only ate breakfast buffet and it has the usual fare including egg station. A number of highly rated local restaurants line the nearby street so we ate out for lunch and dinner. Old town is four dollar taxi ride away or you can use hotel shuttle for free. We spent five very enjoyable days here and would stay again should we return to Hoi An.

Room Tip: Ask for riverfront room availability. We stayed in the only suite. Triple sized room with large bath...

A wonderful spacious resort with two pools and fantastic service. I only ate breakfast there which was just as good as you'd expect from a top resort. The staff are friendly and always on-hand. Cross the road from the hotel and you're on a lovely beach. Cross the road from the hotel to find great tailor shops and places to eat. Sit by one of the two pools and watch the lazy river traffic go by, take the regular shuttle bus into Hoi An for another fantastic experience. This is a relaxed and spotless resort and I hope I return one day.

I would recommend this hotel highly. We has a room overlooking the river which is best (overlooking beach is noisy and by the road). Rooms were lovely and hotel staff wee very friendly and checked we were happy with everything.

Breakfast was really good too, pretty much anything you could ask for.

We did a cooking course and had a good introduction to the market and what everything was. The cool we had was very friendly.

Definately stay here if you want beach. It was great having 2 pools and could always get loungers unlike other hotels.

We just got taxis into Hoi An on an evening which we didn't mind and pretty much had amazing meals in Hoi An every night.

Also got recommended a tailor by this hotel Bebe. The work was good, but think it was extortionate by other standards, it's a risk wherever you go, I just ran out of time to shop around.
