“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2011

We stayed here for two nights because we wanted to spoil ourselves and I'm very glad we decided to. The staff were very friendly and were always willing to help. They even brought me a cake for my birthday. We stayed in the river view suite (room 218) and it was beautiful! The room was massive and it had a jacuzzi! It was the perfect place to escape and simply relax. The buffet breakfast was great, however the meals offered at the restaurant weren't overly exciting. I would definitely recommend going into town for your other meals because there are many fantastic places to eat! Oh and the bed was so comfortable!!!!

We stayed here 5 nights during a tour of Vietnam which was a nice break from the bustle of Hanoi and Saigon.
We had a River View Deluxe which was in a super spot looking over the garden to the river. I would recommed you don't go for the cheaper room as the view from some of them are awful, looking out at a wall 3 stories high only 1 metre from the window. The terrace area of room had a couple of loungers which while comfortable enough were not easiest to get in and out of.
The hotel was just across road from beach where it had a private section complete with sunloungers, parasols, towels etc.
Hotel has 2 pools although 1 was closed for repair during our visit.
Breakfast was reasonable enough. We did not eat in hotel apart from breakfast and only had a drink first night. The hotel was totally lacking in atmosphere in evening. This was primarily due to the attraction of a short trip to Hoi An where there are numerous excellent restaurants at a fraction of the hotel prices. The hotel offers a courtesy shuttle bus to the town. There are a number of small bars and restaurants just outside resort which are closer to most rooms than the hotel bar offering drinks at a fraction of the hotel prices.
The hotel has a Spa which is expensive compeared with Western prices and cannot compete on price with the excellently equipped Spa establishments along the street offering beauty treatments and massages at fantastic prices.

Staff in the hotel were all very friendly

The location on the river was superb where you could sit and watch local fishermen at work while having breakfast

Room Tip: Steer clear of cheapest rooms as they have no view and very little light.

After a couple of weeks in very remote areas in Vietnam and being on the go for the whole time, our two nights at the Hoi An Beach Resort were a well deserved rest/ We decided to splurge a little on the Riverview Villa and I am so glad we did. It was magical waking up to watch the fishermen going up and down the river in front of our little patio. And the sunsets over the river were spectacular. The beach right across the street was wonderful also, although a bit too rough and cold for swimming. I am glad we didn't go for the Seaview Villa as we had planned on initially as there is a busy road between the villa and the beach. The breakfast buffet was quite good, although the one dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was average at best. I would highly recommend this property.

Room Tip: The Riverview Villas are great, although we discovered that some have a king bed and some have two d...

We stayed here for 5 days in a riverview suite which was great to view the daily life of the locals every morning from our balcony.
The breakfast is very nice and pool service - drinks, food etc prompt and friendly.
It is located between the river and directly acrfoss the road from the beach. Its sister resort is in town so there is a free courtesy bus into town a number of times a day.
We would stay here again and met a number of people who were on their 3rd visit in the same hotel thats saying something.

Room Tip: Try the river view rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group. We were very disappointed with our rooms - NOT in bungalows but in a prison-like block beyond the conference centre. We had a wonderful (not!) view of a brick wall - anyone who had a room on the opposite side of the corridor had about a metre between their balcony & the concrete building next door!
At least we had hot water(or should I say so scalding as to be dangerous?) unlike some other members of our party further down the corridor who only got cold water.
Our request for 2 room keys sent the whole system into meltdown, with the maid saying she couldn't clean our room as she didn't have a key, even when (as requested) we'd returned our 2nd key to Reception.
We were grossly overcharged for drinks on our first evening, with extra put on for 17% tax as well as the expected service charge, but no bills or receipts. When our group was on the coach ready to leave for the airport several individuals were hauled off like criminals & accused of not paying their bar-bills (which they had done) and even of stealing plugs & the grotty plastic slippers from their rooms! It took the prolongued efforts of our Tour Manager & local Vietnamese guide for them to be "released"!
We stayed in several other hotels on our tour, & this was our only really bad experience.

Room Tip: Refuse rooms in the block next to Conference Centre!

We stayed for two nights at this hotel during a short trip to Hoi An, and overall, I would recommend it. You get terrific value for the money and the service was outstanding. There were a few minuses but in this case the pros definitely outweighted the cons.

Pros and cons below:

Pros:
1. Outstanding staff service. All hotel staff were warm and friendly and very responsive.
2. Free hotel shuttle bus service to and from Hoi An's center (markets, etc).
3. Included hotel buffet breakfast which was quite good, as far as hotel breakfasts go. Service during breakfast was absolutely terrific; hotel staff hovered and came over whenever it seemed we needed something (more coffee, water, etc.). Service again at this hotel was great.
4. Lovely amenities; we essentially got our own private mini villa with a balcony. For the price, it was outstanding value.
5. Huge room with tons of space and a mini balcony/porch area in front.
6. Literally five feet away from Cua Dai beach.

Cons:
1. Property is located fairly far from the main tourist attractions. The free shuttle bus mitigates this but be aware of this when booking.
2. Bathroom shower is not properly sealed on the bottom, leaks water all over when showering.
3. Our room faced the highway; it was still lovely and wonderful to be close to the beach, but misleading to call this a 'river view' room.

Overall we had a terrific experience and I'd recommend this hotel. This is a great choice for anyone visiting Hoi An who wants some beach time, as long as you don't mind being further from the town. Great stay!

Room Tip: Be aware that if you don't splurge on the villas you might end up with a room facing the highway...

Booked a deluxe riverside view room and was not disappointed. Beautifully appointed and amazing views. Free wifi and shuttle bus into town with great choice of restaurants. Loved it here
