Our family enjoyed 4 wonderful nights at this Hotel in room 329 . The Staff are wonderful and very efficient . Our room , whilst on the top floor was quiet and had a pleasant breeze most of the time . Our room was spotlessly clean , even the windows . Nice big Flat screen TV for the Kids with all the Cable Stations. Fast ( Free) wireless throughout Hotel . The Pool was great , and also very clean . The Breakfast was fantastic . I am a chef myself and what they had on offer was most pleasing and impressive .
We really loved our Housekeeper. She was wonderful. We left a small tip for her on the pillow each morning and bless her heart , she would leave it there until we gave it to her personally .
We had a problem with our room at one stage that required some maintenance . It was late in the evening but the man was there in 5 minutes and had it fixed in no time .
My only criticism would be the hard foam mattresses and the Cocktails from the Bar need more of a punch .
We look forward to returning to this Hotel on our next visit .

Heritage hotel with lovely grounds and swimming pool. Short walk to market, old town and river. Many good restaurants facing river. Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast buffet can be eaten inside or out on restaurant terrace. Air con and fans in rooms, most of the rooms have balconies.

This hotel is in a superb location in the heart of the Old Town, and was our third hotel/stopping point on a tour of Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi MIn City. It is set around gorgeous gardens, which even looked lovely in the rain. The hotel has a very friendly and helpful staff and the lovely touch of a large bowl of complimentary fruit in your room when you arrive. We had a junior suite- it was huge- with enormous flat screen TV with full technical functions, which took some work negotiating. The room was clean with an excellent range of facilities. The bath was deep and high sided so needed athletic skill to use.
The breakfast room was fairly crowded -not just with squaking UK retirees (see previous review), but noisy retirees from all over the world- most of whom were a delight to talk to- only retirees seem to be able to afford to use such luxury accomodation.
The lovely reception staff arranged our trip to My Son on a communal hotel bus (7 US dollars pp +3 US dollars entry fee) -far cheaper than package tour prices- much appreciated.
Do be prepared for the 10% VAT and 5% service charge on food/drink bills - this is normal for high qualty Vietnamese hotels.
We used the free shuttle bus to the Hoi An Resort Hotel (sister hotel about 20mins away), and sat in the restaurant drinking coffee, leisurely watching the river traffic and the tranquil scene of locals river fishing in the torrential rain. The sea was rough but we sat under shelter while the storm passed.
The room safe was poor- it tended to malfunction and you needed the patience of Job to get it to work. It was very slow-frustrating if you had a plane to catch. We would ask the management to consider installing better, more "user-friendly" safes.
In summary, hotel staff can make or mar a guests stay. The hotel staff at this hotel cannot be praised highly enough- simply the best!

Room Tip: Go for Junior Suite, but check the functioning of the safe before putting valuables in it.

The Hoi An hotel is a very good hotel. The rooms are largish, clean and comfortable. They also have a fan which in the tropics (IMHO) is better than A/C. We stayed on level 3 overlooking the pool which has its positives and negatives. The pool opens at 6am and there were a few hard core travellers swimming at 6am, but it didn't phase us as we slept with the windows open to let the light in. Others migh want to be wary of this if you think it will bother you. The pool closes at 9pm.
Breakfast is fine, but the location is excellent. It is set back from the road and there is no real road noise. you will hear th escreaming from th eplaying kids an a neighbouring primary school but it is not bothersome. You can walk to any part of town from this hotel.. The pool is large, cool and clean.
There is a laundry facility across the road for a lot less than what the hotel charges you as is a massage place. There are 1 or 2 tailors in town should you need to get a suit/dress made.

The Hoi An hotel was a pleasant stay and if in Hoi An again we would stay here again. I would recommend this hotel to anybody whose travels are withing this price bracket.

Sayed here for two nights, great location near to old Hoi An.

We had a junior suite room on second floor (210 I think), there was some noise from the road and hotel forecourt. This could have been avoided if the windows and shutters could be closed tightly. I think the quetest rooms would be those overlooking the pool as they would not be exposed to road noise from the front of the hotel nor from the school at the rear of the hotel. We did consider asking for a room change but decided as we were here for just 2 nights and had already unpacked so it probably was more hassle.

Water pressure was on the low side so although the bathroom has modern fittings the shower just didn't do a great job.

There were quite a few coach parties using the hotel during our stay and this made it busy at periods, for example when large groups hit the breakfast bar in one go, facilities are stretched and it feels like you're in a crowd trying to assemble your buffet breakfast. Food quality for our first brekky wasn't that great either, egg chef mashed up my eggs, pastries were soggy and service for tea coffee a bit slow (probably due to large group eating at same time). Second day was better as we tried to avoid the rush and the difference showed.

On final night decided to check our tickets etc to find that the safe malfunctioned and we had to call for help. This arrived promptly but took over half an hour to fix. Apparantly the batteries had failed. Glad this didn't happen during checkout time when leaving for a flight.

We would like to revisit Hoi An again in the future but will probably choose a different hotel or at least ensure we have a better room choice at this hotel

Room Tip: Check room is in quiet location before unpacking.

Dear Mr.Frankandliz ,

Warmest greetings from Hoi An Hotel .

We would like to express our thankfulness to have you stay with us .

Regarding to your comment on TripAdvisor , we would like to say sorry for faults happening to your stay in Hoi An Hotel .

For the noise outside the room , we will find solution to install sound proof by closing window tightly to limit the noise affecting to guest's room .

We will record your comment in quality and service in buffet breakfast and find out the best way to arrange buffet breakfast more professional at the same time when there are many groups come to use it .

With the safety box in room , we will research to limit minimum any problem out of our mind when this system is automatic and private code .It is dificult for us to intervene in technique.

We are looking forwards to welcoming you back to Hoi An Hotel with more perfectly product .

Best regards,
Phan Thi Ngoc Lan
