I chanced upon this Absolutely gorgeous place at the alley next to Hai Au hotel. Perfect ambience and polite staff who was quick to make recommendations. This is rather rare in Vietnam.

As recommended I had the bahn xeo (delicious, and I appreciated the effort taken by the staff to teach me how to eat it). Unfortunately the sautéed squid I had wasn't as good as expected, and tasted like squid drenched in tomato sauce.

We visited this restaurant after staying in a hotel nearby and needing an early dinner after a sleepless night on the bus the night before.

We couldn't have chose a better place. The setting is just off the main road, there is seating inside the restaurant and a garden area. It's lit really well and there is music playing in the background.

We ordered the mango salad for starter and for mains we chose the shrimp sweet and sour and the pork five tastes. The food was delicious, really well balanced and tasty. The menu choices were really good, there is a lot of choice but unlike other restaurants they have stuck to what they know and they do it well.

The service was great, due to us eating early we only saw two other couples dining. I hope it gets busier as the night goes on because the restaurant is brilliant and I would definitely recommend it.

The restaurant is set in a beautiful location and the staff is very friendly!

We had the springrolls and mango salad as starters, which were delicious. As a main course we had pork in claypot and chicken curry. The sauce in which the pork was stewed was delicious, but the pork was a bit chewy (although I haven't had a stew in Vietnam yet that wasn't). The curry was nice.

Prices are very reasonable, so I would recommend going here

Beautiful and elegant garden setting and lovely food - at a very reasonable price. Will happily go again! It is down a laneway off Cua Dai street, but it's definitely worth the few extra steps to get there.

We stumbled on this restaurant simply because we were staying nearby. It is one of the better restaurants we have eaten in Vietnam. The atmosphere is excellent, a courtyard enclosed by two buildings designed as traditional Chinese/Vietnamese pavilions. Interior complements the architecture. The music choice was quiet and at a good level, unlike much of the blaring music often played in restaurants today where you can't hear your companions talk. The ambience continued with the old style looking chinaware. The menu is solid including brown rice dishes. Minor issue is the size of the chicken hotpot...a tad too small (too few chicken pieces)..could be enhanced with some potato to add texture difference... But tasty. Sautéed beef and vegetables good serving size and tasty. Good serving size of rice. Would suggest black tea as they serve coffee. Overall lovely meal and enjoyable atmosphere.
