The hotel is a bit tired & worn. Was not dirty but a bit more care could have been taken cleaning - did not notice any insects. Swimming pool was great and the breakfast was really good. Location is really good except for beach. The movie selection is fantastic - movies on demand.

The rooms were ok, fridge, TV and fairly clean, but the ac was almost nonexistent! The staff were fairly friendly and helpful, but didn't go out of their way to impress! The selling point was the pool area, it was stunning and the deck chairs really comfortable! This hotel is also very close to the old Quarter but mostly close to some amazing Ban Mi street vendors! The guy straight across the street was excellent and if you walk towards town on the right hand side, there is a small area covered with a tarp, with kids table and chairs and a man selling one of the best noodle soups I have ever eaten, for only 50 cents Aussie! Totally delicious!!!
We discovered a fantastic bar about fifteen minutes walk from here called Moe's Tavern at 130 Tran Cao Van street and it is literally open all night! Say hi to William, Tony and Chao, they are funny guys!
This hotel is totally worth it for the pool area alone and we extended for a few days! I am surprised that more backpackers haven't discovered this place when it is so cheap, so close to great street food and close to the old Quarter! I also loved all the bonsai trees, really well done!

Room Tip: Don't bother paying extra and booking a pool view room, there isn't a balcony just a window...

Loved the pool area, the location - within walking distance of everything but the beach. Fantastic food available on site try the open fried wontons' . Particularly impressed by the friendly help and generosity of Mi. She's an asset! Hope to go back

Great hotel for the price.

The rooms are nice and tidy with daily room service to keep them that way.

The breakfast is nothing over the top but for the price your paying for the hotel is really good, theres plenty of fresh fruit, fruit juice, theres a stand you can order egg's however you like them and pancakes, as well as noodle's and rice etc...

Lady's at the front desk are very polite and no problems getting in late at night (3am+) with the security man out front.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the road are obviously less noisy, or for a couple of more dollars we could have had...

My four night stay was absolutely wonderful-we felt we were staying at a beautiful resort for budget prices. The staff is absolutely lovely and opened the kitchen for us any time of day, even if we were the only guests eating. The food is excellent, cooked by staff member Mi. She spoke perfect English and helped us book our trip to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay for an incredible price. Her advice and insight were greatly appreciated and allowed the rest of our time in Vietnam to go completely smoothly. Thank you to Mi and Huy Hoang for treating us so well!

Some reviews seem quite harsh for this hotel. All the staff are local or from other parts of Vietnam and have different etiquette as they come from a completely different culture. I found the staff to be welcoming and very helpful (especially when we were staying in a different hotel the second night and they arranged for us to come back for the third night). However, they were quite forceful about trying to buy garments at their shop (which was overpriced).

The room: Not clean, Beds weren't that comfortable and it was right near the breakfast area - so don't expect a lie in.

Bathroom: hairdryer was broken but shower was great and towels were clean and plentiful.

Breakfast: FANTASTIC.

Pool: Great!

Also, bike hire is the same price as everywhere else and is a quick way to head into town.

My friend and me went here to get a break from everything and it's not really great for solo travelers. But we really enjoyed our stay

Room Tip: The TV has great movie selections

The good: location, big rooms, newish furnishings, bike rental, staff cooperation, excellent breakfast, nice pool.

The not so good: the noise ( and im a heavy sleeper, usually only get woken up by sirens blaring but staff really seem to like shouting in the mornings) broken bed (rm106), blocked drain, found a cockroach on the bed in the middle of the night, started itching uncontrolably too and red dots on my legs..

The verdict? Good hotel but maybe we had a bad room as other guests seemed to be fine about everything
