Description: The Reaching Out Teahouse, the second location for our social enterprise, was created to share authentic Hoi An (which means peaceful meeting) through the tradition of drinking tea and coffee with friends and visitors. Tranquility is assured in our ancient house furnished with antiques. Our servers are all speech and hearing impaired and the joy of silence is reflected throughout the experience. Customers enjoy the high quality of our teas and coffees as well as the gracious service. All of our tableware is handcrafted in the style of the imperial families of Hue and is available at our workshop and retail store a two-minute walk from the teahouse. Fairtrade operating principles ensure that our disabled artisans and servers receive fair wages and work under safe conditions. We invite you to experience our teahouse and to let us know about your experience. We learn to make improvements to our products and services through customer feedback..

I read about this place on trip advisor and yes it is a great quite little place to get out of the noise on the street and sun to take a break esp in the afternoon for a cold drink or cuppa . The girls don't speak they bring you a menu to order you pick what you want then they bring some blocks out with words on them like pay the bill ,water ,questions ,etc they are lovely and always have a smile. We did not have any food but they bought out a crispy cracker that was quite tasty.

Everyone seems to be able to negotiate our service system and our speech and hearing employees are so excited about being able to provide some traditional Vietnamese hospitality. Glad that you enjoyed your experience.

This is a gorgeous little tea room - so peaceful. We called in quite late and it was pretty empty. I love the tick box ordering and the little cue blocks on the table. The various teas / coffees are explained in detail on a separate sheet. We also had some cookies which were yummy! Great service and a lovely place to grab a few minutes peace from the hustle and bustle

It is my favourite place in Hoi An, an oasis of silence in a town where the selling it continuous, everyone wants to sell you something regardless of whether you want or need it!!! Communication is by writing your tea choice on the list, and using little communication blocks, very simple, very effective and a great idea.

This place was something different! It is beautifully decorated & there was something very nice and relaxing about sitting in a quiet spot in the middle of a very busy and loud main street:-) The tea was great, the sweet treats were tasty & the staff was just delightful! A must do in Hoi An!

I popped in to the tea house as I had a couple of hours to kill before catching the shuttle bus back to the hotel. As soon as I walked through the door the staff greeted me with big smiles and gave me the best seat in the house (overlooking the street to people watch).

I decided to go for a tea platter which is a choice of 3 teas (I went for green, oolong and Herbal) as well as having an orange juice which they serve with a choice of syrups (cinnamon & ginger) to add if you want a deeper flavour.

The bonus was they kept bringing over samples of cake and biscuits for free which were amazing and I would have quite happily paid for.

After visiting I felt the urge to learn some sign language, which hopefully I can test out when I next visit.

Its a must see lovely place and if you don't enjoy it then you need to seek medical attention! =]

Yes indeed, the sampler or "flight" of teas is the best way to experience all of the delicate flavours that we offer.
We are continuously adding new biscuits to our menu and what better way to test them than with our valued customers!
