Similar to the other reviews, this place is a real gem. We took the cookery course which was a fantastic experience particularly after seeing the farms where the food is grown. Great hosts, great class, fantastic food and clean western bathrooms. Brilliant!

The food is amazing just bursting with fresh Vietnamese flavours. All the dishes are cooked to order and herbs and vegetables picked from their fields at the back of the restaurant.
Fab ,rural, peaceful location. The family are just delightful.

We heard about this place from another family staying at our hotel. They went for the cooking class and really enjoyed it.
We went for lunch and loved every minute of it. Firstly, the location is memorable. The restaurant backs on to a large block of land that has about fifty gardens in it. The gardens grow an array of vegetables and herbs which the local families tend and sell in the market. We were advised to go at lunch time as all the gardeners come out to work in the fields at about 3 o'clock.
We had a delicious lunch for four which was lovingly prepared by three women in the kitchen. The herbs and vegetables were picked after we ordered off the menu. The food and service was excellent and unbelievably cheap.
After lunch we were given a guided tour of the gardens. We were allowed to taste test a variety of vegetables and herbs and our host explained how all these were used in Vietnamese dishes. She was very knowledgable and it was really interesting. We met some of the gardeners and our children were free to roam around taking photos. They loved it.
We walked back by road to the restaurant and met some of the neighbors and many family members. It was more than just a meal. It was a complete cultural experience.
A taxi can take you there with ease and they will call a taxi for you when you are ready to go home.
If you are in Hoi An and want a really good, genuine Vietnamese experience away from the tourist trail, don't miss this. We loved it and will go again next time we are in Hoi An.

We went here based on other reviews are were quite disappointed.

The freshness of the herbs and greens was great. But we found the food lacking creativity in general, the meat to be tough and the fish was not as fresh as it should have been.

Nice setting but we had much better food at Morning Glory.
