From the moment we arrived by pre arranged airport transport from Da Nang to the second we checked out 7 days later we were made to feel totally special. Check in was professional and efficient as was check out. The room which overlooked the river and town was beautifully clean the amenities faultless and the bed was comfortable and big enough to run laps in. The bathroom was spotless and spacious and the shower was large with a strong and steady water flow.
We stayed in a deluxe room and it really was just that. The breakfast which was included in the price had a wonderful selection of food from a variety of cereals to two or three different types of bread, fruits, a good selectionof hot food which actually was hot i.e. bacon, sausages beans pancakes, also Eastern foods and an amazing egg station where the chef cooked your choice of eggs to perfection.
Most of the staff who forever had a smile on their faces, spoke quite good English so making ourselves understood was no real problem. There is a clean little pool and a a small gym with a few pieces ofwell maitained exercise equipment. Also for $20.00 you can get a pretty relaxing massage. I did.
When we were heading back to Da Nang airport to continue on our trip, we were going to end it in HCMC, we discovered that we had left my mobile phone in the safe in our room. Upon getting to our hotel in HCMC we got the front desk to call the Little Hoian and see if they could check and see if it was there and if so whether they could mail it to me at our hotel. Some 10 minutes later I received a call in our room from John, the manager of the Little Hoian saying that the phone had been found but rather than mailing it he could have it delivered personally within two days by one of his staff who was coming to HCMC. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for anyone here from the manager down to the room maintenance personnel.
I cannot thank John enough for what he did for me because not only did he save me a lot of messing around with travel insurance claims but also the time it would have taken me to enter all the numbers into a new phone.
If anyone is planning to stay in Hoian Look no further than this little pearl. It's not the cheapest but well worth the few extra dollars. Real good eateries in Hoian too.
