“Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food”

This is a great restaurant with a lovely owner. The food is healthy, well priced and extremely delicious. We wanted to go a second time during our stay in Hoi An, but didn't have enough time, which we regretted because we ate some of the best food here during our stay in Vietnam. Also, we really enjoyed having a break from all the pork, chicken and beef and who knows what other meat... ;)

“Amazing and healthy vegetarian food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2014

On a repeat trip to Hoi An, we came back to this restaurant to see if the quality was still there. And again, the food was amazing. On a two week trip we ended up there many days for either lunch or dinner, simply because we always got an outstanding meal. Not just good...great.

"Auntie", the master chef, truly is a talent and her food is unique. Best dishes IMO: the veggie cau lau, turmeric noodles, stuffed tofu in the banana leaf, and papaya salad -- all sensational. Most everything we tried was outstanding...only one dish, the sauteed bok choy, I would not recommend, was not great.

Every meal was somewhere around US $8 to $10 (that's including a couple rounds of drinks). For serious gourmet vegetarian vietnamese food, this is a huge value. Don't let the location put you off, it's well worth the walk. And the family who runs it is charming and hardworking. Highly recommended!

“Okay Fine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2014

Veg options are not hard to find in Hoi An but I thought maybe the Minh Hien would be special. It was okay, service was good, big varied menu. It was not as cheap as I had expected almost $6.50 US which is not cheap in VN. They feature the popular fresh beer like everyone else for 3-4,000 a glass...It is actually cheaper to drink beer than water at most places in Hoi An...

“Great restaurant, kind owner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2014 via mobile

As a vegetarian, this place was a year to eat at, not only because I could pick anything on the menu or try some of the hoi an specialties without the meat, but also because the food was truly good, msg free and because the owner was very friendly. They don't take cards and I was sorry on cash, so he just told me to pass by later and pay the rest! Needless to stay I went back for dinner that night.

“Dissappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2014

Waiters: friendly enough. Atmosphere: warm and nice. Meal: incredibly cheap. Food: not good. Stuffed tofu far too seasoned as was Mushroom in banana leaf. And I am somone who likes well seasoned food. The papaya salad was very nice, and the wontons were pleasant but unremarkable. All in all I definitely wouldn't go back. My vegetarian daughter said she'd eaten better veg food at non veg restaurants here.
Only wine was Dalat, and whilst I accept we are in Vietnam and that it is a local wine, I'm afraid I didn't enjoy it.

Hi onepea
We are so happy cause your visiting. But that was a pity when you didn't like our food. Stuffed tofu is one of special food in our restaurant. Maybe the chef cooked not delicious. Your review will help us make better for the other people.

Vietnam has imported a lot of kind of wine around the world but we only have one kind of Vietnamese wine, that is not convenient.

Anyway, we have over 50 options in the menu. We hope you will be back and bring your wine from Belgium then enjoy others in our restaurant.

Thank you ONEPEA from Vietnam
