My boyfriend and I picked the hotel as our way of experiencing 5 star at the end of our trip. We king of wished we didn't as we did not feel it was nearly as good as the previous hotels we had been staying at which were less intense and cheaper. The rooms themselves were lovely and comfortable. The hotel was nice on the beach but we probably would have preferred to have just stayed close to the ancient town as beach was closed to guests. We were let down by the service mainly. There were a few occasions that we were not impressed by but one the stuck out was when we ordered room service and only got two banana splits which they had forgotten about. We rung an hour later to ask and they said they would bring them soon. It was another half hour later that we got it and it was no the best tasting. The odd bit was that the man who dropped it to the door did not speak very good English but from what I could understand he was asking me to do him a favour? I did not really understand what that was about. It was a comfortable enough stay but we probably would not again.

Dear guests,
At first my apologize on what really happened to u and we are taking the right move to investigate this issue. the employee doing this knows the rules and asking for "tips " strictly forbidden as well to pay cash on room service order.
thanks u for your very valuable comments.
to wait that long for very simple issue is n ot acceptable.
We are moving forward to fine tune the resort and really hope to see u again.
We wish all the best for 2014
My best regards

We enjoyed our stay here. We purchased accommodation through an online deal which included Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and a 60 minute spa treatment each day. The staff were very friendly and the food was really good. The pools are not very private so you have to deal with a lot of other people which is a bit of a down point. The spa treatments were relaxing but I found it was hard to book the spa which meant I just went without at times. We did a cooking class, it was more watching the chef but was still enjoyable. Overall it was a good experience, very clean, friendly and good enough service.

Room Tip: we had a very large deluxe room at the front looking over the beach, it was huge!

Very welcoming hotel. We were met at the airport and transferred there by a private bus. Staff were polite and welcoming on arrival. The room was well situated with a great ocean view. Very comfortable bed. The room was cleaned well each day. The bathroom was on the small side and we had a minor problem with the drainage in the shower that was fixed quickly. The pool area was quite lovely and the staff attentive and courteous. On the downside, the main hotel dining room was cavernous and lacking any ambiance/atmosphere. The staff were overly attentive and in need of constant reassurance that everything was OK.
We used the Spa facility which again was well run and good value. We did the in house Vietnamese cooking class which was great fun and enjoyable. It included a trip to the local food market, where we were introduced to various food stuffs we had not tried before. On return we cooked our own lunch accompanied by plenty of laughter and fun. Even if you do not fit into the hotel bus schedule to Hoi An, a cab ride in is very cheap. $5-7 depending on the traffic. We would recommend the hotel to others.

Room Tip: We stayed in an Ocean View room on the 3rd floor.

We stayed in 4 different hotels in hoi an and this was easily the worst. There were a lot of children at the resort but for some reason the hotel has chosen not to make one of the pools adult only. This means it's very difficult to get peace and quiet anywhere.

In addition if you are looking for an 'outdoors experience' this is not the hotel for you. None of the rooms have a balcony or deck and breakfast is served indoors in an air conditioned restaurant. Having flown 8000 miles to get some winter sun, I was baffled why the hotel is set up this way.

Finally the maintenance staff do their (often noisy) work in the middle of the day, often only a few metres from where you are trying to relax. No proper 5 star would be run this way.

Dear guests from UK,
At first so sorry to hear your comments . Our apologize.
our resort has been badly affected by series of typhoons and storm s since oct 15th and do have a long way to renovate some part which has been taking place for a while according to weather forecast. which has been uncertain for few months.
We are moving forward to fine tune the resort and bring our beach back to enjoy.
we do have family with children around and all enjoyed for our pools. we plan to have a children pool and ease the chidren playing in the resort.
we do have a quite a good number of UK guests as it is a new market for us and they given very good feedback so far.
We hope to see u again and personally great u.

The best thing about this hotel is without doubt the lovely staff. Each and every one of them has a cheery word and a smile. Sofie at check-in was efficient and informative and everyone else we came in contact with were just lovely. The room and balcony was just fine and the bed very comfortable and very clean. Wi-fi was excellent and there was tea and coffee in the room. Housekeeping was good with everything refreshed every day. The bathroom on the other hand was not good. There is no where to put anything except a shelf above the toilet. Towels were good but the shower was a disaster. It was hard to regulate and the water went everywhere all over the bathroom floor. Had a problem with our sink waste outlet but somebody came to fix it within 10 minutes. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and plenty of fruit choices as well. Dinner was rather hit and miss. We had some good and some bad dishes, they also charge a surcharge for some items on the menu which seems rather petty. The seafood buffet at the weekend was OK but quite expensive for what it was and it was also very dark outside so hard to see what you were eating. I don't know why people complain about the beach - it is hardly the fault of the hotel if a typhoon hits them and ruins the beach. They are doing their best to fix it up. There are plenty of places to swim in the hotel. They run an hourly shuttle into Hoi An, and it takes about 20 mins to get there depending on traffic. We didn't encounter any noise in the hotel - in fact we thought it was very quiet. Would I stay here again - probably not. Think you would be better off close to town so that you didn't need transport.
