We enjoyed our stay here. We purchased accommodation through an online deal which included Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and a 60 minute spa treatment each day. The staff were very friendly and the food was really good. The pools are not very private so you have to deal with a lot of other people which is a bit of a down point. The spa treatments were relaxing but I found it was hard to book the spa which meant I just went without at times. We did a cooking class, it was more watching the chef but was still enjoyable. Overall it was a good experience, very clean, friendly and good enough service.

Room Tip: we had a very large deluxe room at the front looking over the beach, it was huge!

Very welcoming hotel. We were met at the airport and transferred there by a private bus. Staff were polite and welcoming on arrival. The room was well situated with a great ocean view. Very comfortable bed. The room was cleaned well each day. The bathroom was on the small side and we had a minor problem with the drainage in the shower that was fixed quickly. The pool area was quite lovely and the staff attentive and courteous. On the downside, the main hotel dining room was cavernous and lacking any ambiance/atmosphere. The staff were overly attentive and in need of constant reassurance that everything was OK.
We used the Spa facility which again was well run and good value. We did the in house Vietnamese cooking class which was great fun and enjoyable. It included a trip to the local food market, where we were introduced to various food stuffs we had not tried before. On return we cooked our own lunch accompanied by plenty of laughter and fun. Even if you do not fit into the hotel bus schedule to Hoi An, a cab ride in is very cheap. $5-7 depending on the traffic. We would recommend the hotel to others.

Room Tip: We stayed in an Ocean View room on the 3rd floor.

We stayed in 4 different hotels in hoi an and this was easily the worst. There were a lot of children at the resort but for some reason the hotel has chosen not to make one of the pools adult only. This means it's very difficult to get peace and quiet anywhere.

In addition if you are looking for an 'outdoors experience' this is not the hotel for you. None of the rooms have a balcony or deck and breakfast is served indoors in an air conditioned restaurant. Having flown 8000 miles to get some winter sun, I was baffled why the hotel is set up this way.

Finally the maintenance staff do their (often noisy) work in the middle of the day, often only a few metres from where you are trying to relax. No proper 5 star would be run this way.

Dear guests from UK,
At first so sorry to hear your comments . Our apologize.
our resort has been badly affected by series of typhoons and storm s since oct 15th and do have a long way to renovate some part which has been taking place for a while according to weather forecast. which has been uncertain for few months.
We are moving forward to fine tune the resort and bring our beach back to enjoy.
we do have family with children around and all enjoyed for our pools. we plan to have a children pool and ease the chidren playing in the resort.
we do have a quite a good number of UK guests as it is a new market for us and they given very good feedback so far.
We hope to see u again and personally great u.

The best thing about this hotel is without doubt the lovely staff. Each and every one of them has a cheery word and a smile. Sofie at check-in was efficient and informative and everyone else we came in contact with were just lovely. The room and balcony was just fine and the bed very comfortable and very clean. Wi-fi was excellent and there was tea and coffee in the room. Housekeeping was good with everything refreshed every day. The bathroom on the other hand was not good. There is no where to put anything except a shelf above the toilet. Towels were good but the shower was a disaster. It was hard to regulate and the water went everywhere all over the bathroom floor. Had a problem with our sink waste outlet but somebody came to fix it within 10 minutes. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and plenty of fruit choices as well. Dinner was rather hit and miss. We had some good and some bad dishes, they also charge a surcharge for some items on the menu which seems rather petty. The seafood buffet at the weekend was OK but quite expensive for what it was and it was also very dark outside so hard to see what you were eating. I don't know why people complain about the beach - it is hardly the fault of the hotel if a typhoon hits them and ruins the beach. They are doing their best to fix it up. There are plenty of places to swim in the hotel. They run an hourly shuttle into Hoi An, and it takes about 20 mins to get there depending on traffic. We didn't encounter any noise in the hotel - in fact we thought it was very quiet. Would I stay here again - probably not. Think you would be better off close to town so that you didn't need transport.

Absolutely loved our 8 night stay at Sunrise! Our room was very nice with a great view and lovely balcony. All the meals we had were excellent. What impressed us the most though was the fantastic staff! From the minute we were met at the airport by the beautiful smiling Truan to the day we sadly had to leave, the staff were amazing! Hiue at the door always remembered our names and suggested outings or restaurants. Linh's pleasant smile and warm greeting at breakfast was always a great start to the day. Cooking class, including shopping at the market, with Hanh was fantastic! David, Bing, Hung Chef, Anh(Amy) and the staff at the beach bar were all really lovely and great to talk with. All the staff are always ready to help you and always with a smile. Very highly recommend, really hope to return again soon! Paul and Sue, Melbourne, Australia.

My girls trip to Vietnam was ab-fab! Sunrise Hoi An Beach Resort was a great place for relaxing and reminiscing with the girlfriends I hadn't seen in years. The four of us booked Villa 5 for our stay. It offers a spacious living area, large sliding glass doors with floor to ceiling windows that lead to a terrace that overlooks Cua Dai beach. There are two side-by-side masters, both have a spacious Zen-like outdoor shower. The bathrooms feature modern fixtures and upscale amenities. If you can pry yourself from your suite, visit the spa. Quite economical and relaxing. The bartender Tuam a.k.a. "Solo" at the pool /restaurant bar, will do his best to accommodate your desired drink. I taught him how to make a "sugar-free" Mojito which has now become his signature drink... the "Solo Mojito". Be sure and ask for one! Oh, and they offer 2 for 1 happy hour. You will not be disappointed!! I advise booking the Red Bridge Cooking School ($29 USD) for a nice tour of the outdoor market, riverboat ride and Vietnamese cooking class well in advanced. The chef really keeps you entertained and it's a hands on learning experience with a great meal included. This resort met my expectations and then some.

Room Tip: Villa 5 was not affected by the Typhoon.
