Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms were very large, even with an extra bed for our teenage son. Room was nice and quiet. Bedding and linen extremely comfortable. Staff were great and would come twice a day to change towels. Beautiful grounds and pools - just like the hotel photos. Its about a $5 - $6 taxi ride to Hoi An, but well worth it. Taxi's always available at the hotel, could use free hotel shuttle, but times didn't suit us. But we did use their free shuttle to the airport. Unfortunately my son needed medical attention one night and the staff organised a doctor immediately. He came within half an hour and his service was exceptional. He even brought with him all medications. Would stay here again. Note: even though on TripAdvisor you read about the quality of the building/workmanship, the hotel was still very pleasant. I think it's because these resorts take so long to build and things weather quickly. Also workmanship may not be as high our standards back home in Australia. Also about the beach area, they were trying in vain to fix the beach front, but I think this will always be an ongoing issue (well at least for the time we were there during the wet season). I can imagine this place in the dry season and it would be spectacular. Can't wait to come back. Well priced and very affordable. Would totally recommend.

Room Tip: We had a beautiful deluxe ocean view room. Request a top floor for better views!

We stayed at Sunrise Hoi An not long after it opened, and were a little apprehensive as at the time we booked there were no reviews on Trip Advisor, but decided to wing it and thankfully, had a lovely stay.

As it was early days (and many of these things may have been fixed by now) there were a few teething problems. The beach wasn't 'complete' so there was some construction between the hotel pools and the ocean which didn't make for the most picturesque view. There was a beach next to the hotel that the staff maintained for hotel guests to swim at, with towels, chairs etc.The pools are lovely and there's enough room that you felt like you had your own space. We had delicious food and drinks from the outdoor restaurant delivered to the pool area - the prices aren't as cheap as you'll get in the town so expect 'hotel' prices, but the food was good.

We had a few treatments in the spa which were nice, but the spa manager had some difficulties with English so there was some confusion over what was included in our treatments, which was a little awkward. The staff on reception were friendly but again, some of them had trouble with English and didn't understand us at times.

I'd definitely recommend this hotel - it's a bit far from the town (only a short and cheap taxi ride) but I think that's what makes it nice - you get away from the mayhem and backpackers to have your own bit of peace and quiet.

We had 5 days here and it was a great place to come back to every day after our day trips. The pools were great for the kids and adults. The service was excellent at all times. Would recommend it. We found the only disappointment was the food. Especially after all the great food in Hoi An. There are few little restaurants across the road which were very good though.

What a fantastic new hotel by the beach. Cannot fault it and had the most relaxing time in a ocean view room. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff went above and beyond the norm. Shuttle bus to the town could have been more frequent but only $6 by cab if you miss the shuttle.
It was the highlight of my trip to Vietnam and would definitely go back there again and again. Pools were sensational.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are the best

We had three nights at Sunrise Hoi An in late September and we found it a great and very affordable place to relax. Granted there was some earth moving work happening to repair the beach but that was a minor inconvenience. The pools were great, the ocean even better for a swim and the staff very friendly and helpful. A taxi into Hoi An only costs $5 or $6 if the free hotel shuttle times don't work for you. For the price you can't beat it, really enjoyed the stay.

We just spent 6 nights at the sunrise hotel in a suite.
The room was fantastic and very spacious with everything you'd expect from an international hotel.
Great views across the ocean to the Cham Islands and the sound of surf breaking on the beach was beautiful.
The complex is very well thought out and has two pools one large one in the centre of the grounds and a lap pool that ends on the private beach.
Great for families as there is a lot for the kids to do. Sports of all sorts, a kids club and loads of room to run around.
Service is great and all the staff have great english and are very professional.

We had an offer that included buffet breakfast everyday and the food is awesome. They cater to all tastes and have a variety of western, asian and Vietnamese options.

The two restaurants are very different, one that caters to western tastes and include obvious meals like pizza, burgers, hotdogs and some pasta dishes. This food was quite average and while it sufficed for a snack I personally would rather go into town for western food for dinner.

The other restaurant is seafood driven but has a few local non seafood dishes if you like. The food there is excellent and very fresh. You can even see a majority of the seafood on offer in the tanks beside the open kitchen which I thought was a nice touch.
Unfortunately there is limited covered space in this restaurant so if it rains it feels kinda cramped but on a nice evening it is close to the beach and you get the lovely breeze blowing through and can hear the waves crashing. Also a good place to sit at the bar and have a cocktail.

This place also serves as the food and drink service for the pool during the day and the staff are brilliant. Always happy to help and we found they were very chatty (if you wanted to chat - not pushy) and some of the nicest people we talked to on our holiday. They are very well trained and extremely professional.

The bar in the hotel is awesome and you have the option to sit out on the veranda overlooking the pool in really comfy furniture or you can sit inside in the aircon and maybe have a game of pool at the table there. Great cocktails and good service.

There is a tour operator inside the reception area that can organise all kinds of activities for you and the free shuttle but runs all day and most of the night to get you in and out of Hoi An and it takes around 10-15 mins. If you miss it there is always a taxi or two on standby to take you instead, we paid between 80,000-110,000 one way ($4-5US).

We had a little trouble with some excavators on the beach for the first 2 days we were there and it basically made the beach and lap pool unusable. However, the manager apologised personally and we were adequately compensated for this problem.

Please bear in mind that due to the quite narrow beach this kind of thing must happen on a regular basis to avoid the beach completely eroding. While this is a totally necessary and understandable process I will definitely check before booking next time that this is not happening while I am there.
TO THE MANAGEMENT - IF THIS IS A POSSIBILITY IT WOULD BE WORTH CLOSING THE HOTEL FOR JUST A FEW DAYS TO ALLOW FOR THIS TO HAPPEN WITHOUT DISTURBING GUESTS.

I will definitely stay there again and I recommend the extra money for the suite. The villas looked great but seemed quite open to other guests walking by and peering in to the plunge pool and veranda areas. Not a private location if its a romantic stay. Get the suite instead.

All in all a great hotel.

Room Tip: Corner suites are awesome. Avoid floor one (ground floor is called floor 1) as most of these rooms c...

Visited Hoi An last April and Sunrise was only just opened. Stayed in a bungalow on the beach which was heaven. 2 bed bungalow which was very spacious. There are also two bathrooms each with an outdoor shower - such a novelty to shower in a little courtyard especially under the stars! There is also a shower out on the deck which is ideal after time on the beach. While still very new we found this resort to be excellent - work was going on reclaiming the beach after storms in Feb/Mar - but it was interesting to watch the workers rather than an inconvenience - given that labour is far cheaper than JCB,s noise impact was minimal.
Breakfast buffet was a high standard - lots of choice and all that you would expect in hotel of this standard.
We would love to return to Hoi An and would certainly stay here again - as long as prices remain reasonable!

Room Tip: If budget permits go for beach bungalow if only for the outdoor shower!
