Had friends stay here several weeks ago. Arrived this morning to stay and it has been taken over by a new group (see photo). Beware pricing as now asking $150 USD per night. Don't get taken in as I see they are still advertising. Was an extreme inconvenience, although reception did try to help find alternatives.

We were very disapointed by this hotel from the very beginning. First the room was not clean, there were receipts from other tourists on the floor, and the cleaningcloth was still laying in the shower. We arrived late, so we were adviced to eat dinner in the restaurant at the hotel rather then driving 2 km by taxi to the city. Little did we know that it would take them 1,5 hours to make one fried rice with chicken and one portion of spring rolls. The dissapointments kept on coming the next day when we discovered that the pool and the sunbeds were dirty. The staff never once said good morning or smiled. This was the first and only time we saw a grumpy vietnamese. On the breakfast there were not plates, nor forks or glasses. The whole experience was dissapointing, and we were glad to stay on another hotel the last days of our time in Hoi An. Not worth the money, the nice view can be bought much cheaper :)

Very disappointed: poor service, dirty pool and facility: go there at 9am and asked if early checkin was possible, reception responded that the guests of our room (river front bungalow at about USD100 a night, booked for 3 nights) has not checked out. We had 2 young kids with us including a 2-month old one. I checked the room in question through the window door: it was made up and ready for checking in and no luggage was in the room. So I insisted and receptionist then said that yes room was available but we would have to pay usd10 to check in early, which we paid in the end. So first the receptionist lied and second took advantage of the situation and overcharged us. Nowhere on earth including Vietnam have I seen this. Before that upon arrival, as we had traveled, I wanted to wash my hands and asked for the toilets of the lobby/restaurant, and was taken to a mediocre place that was worn down and had not been cleaned for years. There was no toilet paper or soap on the sink. As I asked some I was just told no, there is none. I insisted twice and was given a soap dispenser taken from the kitchen that was as scary as the rest of toilets, and was dirty as hell... See photos. The resort by the river is actually nice, at least the two riverfront bungalows. The pictures of the swimming pool on the site that enticed us must have been taken on a unique day, because every of the 4 days we were there, the water was dirty, troubled and one could not see the bottom of the pool even where the pool is only 80cm deep. We asked at the reception for the pool to be cleaned and were responded every time that the pool was cleaned every morning and that was the way. At no point, even in the early morning, was the water clean. Another disappointment. And the service was always arrogant and rude, when we would ask for a towel for a kid or asked for shower gel when housekeeping forgot to restock. An go for breakfast early because once items run out on the buffet, they would not restock or delay restocking so the limited supply would be even more reduced. The last day, after the jug of passion fruit juice was empty they just replaced it with artificial flavor orange juice that is undrinkable by any decent standards. The safe in the room did not work. Really a bad experience all in all. I waited a few days after staying there before posting this review, just to have make a calm and balanced assessment as I was furious from check-in to check-out. Would never go back.

Room Tip: One of the two bungalows on the river (on the right hand side when looking at the river)

The room and the swim-pool are very nice with the price we pay. Its very nice hide-away place but everything else is bad. There is no soap in the toilet at the reception, we ask for extra towels for our 2 kids, they only provide at 7am... the breaskfast is cold. ........

2km from the centre of Hoi An, easy to reach with the bikes from the hotel. Boutique kind of set up with 20 or so rooms. Quite a large pool and lot of green, river is 15 m away, all looks really nice.
Rooms are large, beds are quite hard. Bathrooms clean. But everything does have signs of ageing. The safe was not rigged to a wall, so not useful.
Staff is not very attentive, watching series on their mobile phones, but helpful when approached. Breakfast is reasonable quality but I had to ask to turn down the hard music which they think we want to hear and was on every morning from 6.30. With a bit of effort this could be a winner, which it is not (yet).
