Great air conditioning, really big rooms but was disappointed to find garbage bin still full from last guest, and got a bit of a scare with the amount of rats running in the garden.breakfast was very ordinary, laundry was very expensive. Was very quiet and welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of Vietnam traffic. pool was lovely and clean and as for well maintained gardens ??
Hardest mattress I have ever slept on

Room Tip: Check mattress as very very hard.pool side rooms do not have much privacy

The resort is situated just outside of Hoi An, the rooms are great with the usual fare of what you'd expect from this kind of place in VN. The swimming pool looks beautiful set right near the river. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful and I don't think the price was at all expensive. I can only think of one downside, we asked to rent a bike and were shown to a couple of bikes that were not really in good condition and wasted the morning, breaking down then having to find a petrol station. (I've rented a bike for 3months now in Hanoi so I'm not a complete beginner of anything), besides the guy who 'runs' the bike operation, I don't really understand the interaction between him and the hotel, we paid him directly but the hotel later seemed upset at this. It wasn't very professional. Eventually we were given a better bike and I can't really complain about anything else, really enjoyed staying here.

The Hoi An Bamboo Village Resort is the ideal spot to relax for a few days. It's just a short way out of town, so you can reside in peace and quiet. The rooms are amazing. We had a room with a great view of the pool and the breakfast is delicious. We only spent two days in Hoi An and didn't even make it to the beach becuase it was so nice to hang out on the pool after our shopping sprees.

In every trip we make, we choose one "more expensive" hotel and this was the most expensive hotel in our trip to vietnam.

The facilities are very good. A huge swimming-pool is located beneath all the rooms and just next to the river. Room was very big, plenty of space, clean and with air conditioning. We stayed 3 nights but we only got a fruit basket on the first night.

They also offer the possibility of bike rental (2 USD per day), which is very helpfuil, as the hotel is 35 minutes walking from hoi an city center, but only 10 by bike. With the bike we also reach the beach (20 minutes).

Now the bad. The service doesn't reach the facilities service. We arranged the airport transfer for 16 USD, but when we got the bill, they charged us 18. The explanation was "the price has risen". Obviously, we refused to pay the extra 2 dollars. It isn't about the money, it's about the feeling of being cheated. After 20 minutes discussing with the reception staff, thay charged us the right amount. It's a pity, as we think our stay could have been great without this artificial trouble.

Bamboo Village is an amazing, relaxing and inviting place to stay for a day or for 10 days like we did. It is far enough away from town to be quiet, but close enough to get to easily by walking (15min.), biking, or a quick taxi ride for 1.5 USD. We stayed on the river front villa and had none of the issues raised by earlier reviews. The owners obviously read and made improvements from their guests experiences. Upon our arrival the stress of life just seemed to slip away as we sat on the veranda overlooking the river and the room was a work of simplistic beauty. The breakfast were adequate and tasty, but we only ate one meal (lunch) as there were so many food eating options in town that were excellent in quality. Beaches are close by and going to My Son was a must and only a half day trip which included a boat ride down the river (so don't do one from town if you're going to My Son). The ten days we were there flew by and we longed to stay longer. We would go back in a heart beat and highly recommend it to others. In all of our travels in S.E. Asia in the last 2 years this was easily our favorite town and place to stay.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the river front suite and you'll be rewarded with a peaceful and tranquil stay.
