Got a bit caught short when we first arrived in hoi an and ended up here for 22 bucks a night. What a waste of money.
When we first arrived we were pleased by the size of the room, and the receptionist, after some initial frostiness, sorted out a doctor to come to our room. However, it was downhill from there..
Firstly the bathroom was pretty rough. Really dated and not very clean. The room smelt funny which we reckon might be due to a mouldy blanket in the wardrobe. The sheets and towels were very old and had stains on them.
After being in the room unpacking for about 10 mins we noticed the air con leaking so on the way out into town we mentioned this and were told it would be sorted immediately. Great, we thought. On our return, some 4 hours later, we were told that noone could come to fix so a big bucket had been put under the unit. We got in bed and the dripping was unacceptably loud. I went down to the reception to complain/move rooms/ get money off and the woman was rude and short with me. Miraculously someone was there to fix it in 10 minutes, while we were lying in bed wanting to sleep! Too lazy or too pricey to fix earlier Evidently.
To cap things off they gave us a lousy exchange rate so we paid more than the 22 dollars we had been quoted and they wouldn't take card. Incidentally for the money its rubbish as well as you don't get internet or breakfast. Best avoided. Go over the road to thanh binh 2. Better, cheaper, nicer staff.
