My husband, 2 year old and myself opted to do the farming tour which consisted of a tour of the vegetable garden, the opportunity to try out hand at planting a crop and a lovely lunch to follow. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although the tour of the vegetable garden went for a little too long in my opinion. The hands on experience of preparing a plot and then planting and watering it using traditional methods and equipment was a lot of fun and definitely gave us a great insight into just how hard maintaining a garden of this size must be. The food that followed was amble and fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour. The staff are lovely and it's a great initiative and example of how sustainable practices can benefit a whole community.
