We went to the restaurant based on TA reviews. The restaurant is situated slightly out of the main area of the ancient town but the road it is on is picturesque and (when we were there) peaceful. You can sit outside or inside (no aircon). The service was willing but not good (eg hand you your next dish because there is no room left on table as a result of not clearing empty dishes), but it was fine given the background of those serving, and the charitable purpose of the venture. The main issue with the restaurant is the food. Green papaya salad was bland and had unwanted and unexpected strips of pork in it. Pork with mixed vegetables looked and tasted pretty much the same (i.e. bland) as chicken with lemongrass and chili - in which neither chili nor lemongrass was discernible, both swimming in liquid with undercooked vegetables. My wife had BBQ prawns which she reported as good. Portions are large, and it is not that expensive, however there are far better places to eat.
