It's all been said on here before... Would advise looking at the menu of choices (available on the website and also in email correspondence with Van) if you're worried about being overwhelmed with all the choices on the day, we ended up getting Van to help us choose. Highlights from our group were the pork clay pot, crispy pancakes and the fresh spring rolls. Everything is clean and well-run, Van is super friendly and easy to get along with. Great to get a complete cookbook at the end of the day as well! Everything was perfect - not too long, no standing around and easy to follow recipes. Don't eat breakfast!

Van is a patient teacher who covers every area of cooking the selected dishes. Make sure you don't eat before you go. A day of fasting might be better before hand!! The experience from market to plate is both educational and fun. Nothing is too much trouble for Van. If you have the opportunity to participate in this school - take it immediately.

If you after a great day of cooking, eating and learning about Vietnam food then this is the one. Van does a excellent job of keeping the whole class invloved and its run at a good pace and you never feel rushed. The walk through the markets to collect supplies for the days class is a good experiance and helps you understand the markets. Thanks for a great day!!!

There's not much more we can add that hasn't already been said so here is the shorthand:Van is a fantastic teacher and a wealth of knowledge; the market tour was great; bring a BIG appetite if you have a larger class size (max 10 PAX) as you will be eating 10 courses; the recipes are authentic and the food is so fresh it's literally jumping off the plate; you get a very handy recipe book at the end of the class with 30+ local recipes (+other goodies); there is never ending water plus a cheeky beer or 2 and some pretty special Peanut Vodka to conclude the class. A highlight of our trip to Vietnam! Thanks Van :-)

Van picked us up at 8am and we knew immediately this would be a great day. Her passion for food was immediately present along with her wonderful personality.

We were all collected and immediately went to the market where we purchased all of the required ingredients to get us through the day.

All of the time, Van went out of her way to show us all of the wonderful things the market had to offer plus she was very generous in ensuring the portion sizes were sufficient for the 10 of us.

The cooking class itself was conducted fantastically!! The kitchen was always kept clean (on behalf of her very efficient assistants) and our benches had everything we needed to cook our respective dishes.

We cooked 10 meals in all, enjoying a great comfortable atmosphere (and the sneaky beer or wine lovingly provided by Van) while slowly growing our respective food babies!!

Great hostess and a wonderful experience we'll soon not forget!!
