We had the most amazing time on our tour. Mo, our guide/translator/kitchen hand, was wonderful! She explained all the produce we bought at the market and how we would use it in the cooking. The boat ride out to the village was relaxing, so nice to sit back and watch all the boats and people working along the riverside. Upon arrival, we got our traditional hats and went for a ride on a row boat through the water coconuts. We learnt how they separate the rice from the husks and had a turn at helping to make the rice milk for our crispy pancakes. The cooking class area is beautifully set out for small or large groups, we were a group of 4 which was perfect. Thi, our gorgeous chef was great, showing us how to prepare and cook our 4 delicious meals. We were so well looked after the entire time, all the staff were super friendly, patient and had good communication skills (you don't always need someone fluent in your native language to understand them!). The spinning table was a spin out! Still not sure how that works???!! Overall, the best morning creating beautiful dishes that you can recreate back home (recipe and cooking chop sticks complimentary). I highly recommend to anyone who wants to 1. Learn to cook traditional Hoi An dishes 2. Eat delicious food 3. See village life and get out of the city 4. Have fun! :)
