We found this spot cycling to the beach from Hoi An.

It is both a deli and a restaurant run by and Australian / Canadian couple. It stocks all sorts of Western culinary delights mainly from Autralia (I guess its a proximity thing).

While we were there there were several Norwegian student who clearly had made it their base for studies (probably because of the Wi Fi connections.

Atmosphere great
Food very good
Pricing reasonable

We liked it so much we came back here after a subsequent foray to Cau Cai beach further north (which is not within easy cycling distance)

We stayed close by and found this shop/bakery/restaurant as we were biking around.

The big Lavazza sign caught our eyes as my husband really missed an espresso while we were traveling. Also we bought sandwiches, ice creams and coffees and finally we found some chocolates in Vietnam, everything was for very reasonable price.

Friendly staff and bumped in to the owner lady who was very helpful.

Full disclosure. We only stopped here because one of my co-workers back in Ontario told me about his cousin who lives and owns a business in Hoi An. He actually hasn't seen her since he was about 4 years old. (The wonders of Facebook). This is not the kind of place that we normally go to while travelling because it caters to those who need to get their fix for what they have been missing back home. We stick to mostly local fare with the occasional cheat when our stomachs are rebelling against the foreign food/cooking style. We became friends with the owners and their visiting parents. Having said that, I intend to write an honest review that has nothing to do with our friendship that developed after the fact.
Here it goes........this is not a Vietnamese restaurant with Vietnamese prices. You are paying for what you get which is great service, great staff that have a decent handle on English, EXCELLENT food and coffee, a well air conditioned space, clean bathroom, wi fi, deli shop (you can get tampons here!), delicious bakery items and for the Aussies.....vegimite and other Aussie staples.
I have been told that it is the only real properly air conditioned restaurant in Hoi An but I did not verify that claim. The owner, Michele, is often there and checking with patrons to see if they are pleased or need anything.
There is a great playground in the back that patrons with kids and the local kids can use as long as they follow some simple rules like no littering (a disappointing norm in Vietnam).
To sign off, we loved the food and coffees that we had here and sucked up the extra expense with ease. It's not extravagantly pricey. I'm just a miser.
I recommend the salad with beets and goat. I took away a brownie on 2 occasions as well. Might be back for a third before we leave.

During our stay in Hoi An my partner and I stopped in at the Dingo quite a few times for their perfect Coffee's and enormous breakfasts and lunches. The staff are excellent, and the "tick-box" order sheets are a very intelligent way to get around potential any potential language barriers between the wait staff and punters. The owners are lovely, and can organise a great selection of tours and trips.

This place is here for when you need a little break from the asian cuisine...and it was much appreciated! The aussie burger was an absolute delight for when I medically needed something that wasn't noodle or rice orientated. Plus, the coffee was the best in Hoi An.
