If you're the type of traveller who likes to pretend they haven't left home then this is the place to go. Get your marmite from the shop. My flat white was extremely average. The chocolate tart I had was lovely though. The boys liked their sausage rolls and free beer from checking in on Facebook.

Where; Hoi An. Main road, 1/2 way between the Old City and Cua Dai beach.

When; open 8am to 9pm every day.

Why; your home away from home with nice, comfortable seating throughout.

What; a grocery section to buy all those staples you're used to at home. From chewing gum to cheeses, potato chips etc.

Pop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a glass of wine and a cheese platter.

Menu; extensive. And the meatball subs that are on the menu are sooooooo much better than the ones you'll get at home!
The menu is "tick a box" for your choices, so no communication difficulties.

Front courtyard; it's like having a bet each way. All the hustle, bustle and vibe of this great city while you enjoy all the tastes of home. Plenty of big sun umbrellas. Smoking area.

Indoor dining; air conditioned and non smoking.

Shaded courtyards; 2 to choose from.
The beauty of this place too is that it is very family friendly with an expansive area for the kids to run around in. Mum and dad can sit outside and relax with a coffee and something to eat with the kids always in view in the Adventure Playground.

Facilities;
Notice boards and travel boards keep you up to date with what's happening around the place.
Wifi; Wifi is good so bring your own tablet or use the house Mac computers free of charge to Skype and Facebook.
Classic rock music plays all day.

The difference between this restaurant and others in Vietnam is simply that it is of the standard that you're used to in a western country.

It's owned and run by a Canadian family who spent many years in Australia and this facility wouldn't be out of place in many parts of Australia.

Because a lot of Vietnamese facilities don't have refrigeration coffee here can be made with condensed or UHT milk. Not so here. Real milk and Lavazza coffee.

It's not the cheapest meal in town but if you want a consistently high standard menu with plenty of choice, in a comfortable, clean environment then this is the place to go.
Well worth a visit(or three).
