“A very beautiful hotel with extremely terrible service.”
Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

We arrived after a long bus ride from hue, really looking forward to a stay in this lovely hotel. Walking into the reception area our eyes lit up because the hotel was beautiful as was promised by lonely planet. But, the receptionist greeted us with not much more than a sneer, grumpily brought us to our rooms and nearly slammed the door in our faces. The room was lovely, nicely decoraged and very spacious. The small pool offers welcome refreshment and after the off start we were looking forward to our stay.
Sadly the service did not improve whatsoever. They lost a piece of clothing of ours when doing our laundry and weren't especially sorry about it.
They try offering their guests a nice breakfast buffet. But the table cloths are very dirty (and i'm not picky, mind you) and even when kindly asked to change them, the staff just shrugged. The buffet was entirely cleaned out - which can happen and would be okay, if the 4 staff members present were working. Instead, they were chatting and found the increasingly agitated guests funny. After 30 minutes at least parts of the buffet were refilled.

Overall not a very pleasant stay, which is a shame, because the hotel would be very pretty and is located very central. I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed here for five nights. Location was good. The best part of the hotel was the family room, it was big with a good layout. Two double beds at the opposite ends of the room with sitting are between.

Breakfast was ok, they made eggs and pancakes to order and rest was buffet style. Problem is that the staff had hard time keeping the buffet stocked. Also, the breakfast room is quite cramped and not too clean.

Pool was ok, again the area felt a bit cramped. Kids jumped to the pool from the bridge across the pool, I didn't mind it but it can get noisy and wet - be warned :-D

Free bikes to use, very nice. Just be early before they are gone. Free wifi and (slow) desktop computer for use in room.

Overall, good place to stay if you need space (travel with bigger kids). As a couple or single traveller I would look for something else.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We stayed there in 2010 and back then paid USD$28 per night. The hotel wasn't very old then. Now, in 2013 we paid $58 per night and the place is far from maintained. Rough around the edges in an understatement. Many broken things had not attempted to be repaired. The shower recess was filthy with soap scum. Their cleaning ability it terrible. English is also a big struggle with the staff unfortunately. We also had to change rooms because the AC in our first room was broken and the room was sweltering and wouldn't cool.
On the upside however, the pool is great and the location of the hotel is just off from the center of town. A 2 min walk away gets you over the bridge next to the ancient bridge and city. Next time I come here I will be looking for alternative accommodation unfortunately. I was very unimpressed second time around.

Room Tip: If you choose to stay here, turn on your AC and let it run for 10mins or so and make sure it gets co...

We received a very welcoming arrival with fresh fruit and cool drinks. the room was very well presented with touches like - rose petals on the beds and towel swans(?). Our 2 young children were welcomed enthusiastically by the staff and found many other children here to engage with.
the room was very clean and spacious and more like a suite than a hotel room, large bathroom, separate bedrooms, sitting area and balcony.
The pool was a welcome relief after our roaming of the streets of Hoi An old town.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, eggs and love heart shaped pancakes cooked to order, along with baguettes, lots of fruit and Vietnamese coffee. Plenty of other menu items also.
2 large bottles of water a day and free bicycle use are thrown into the package.
Our room overlooked the pool and was quiet and well shaded all day. if not for the construction next door this would have been perfect for our needs, despite this we were not inconvenienced and enjoyed our stay.
We found the location to be ideal for us, just over the bridge from the old town.
The room service staff were very friendly and did a great job cleaning the rooms.
I will recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: pool facing rooms are away from the street. care with small children on upper floors due to balcon...

Beeing in Hoi An on June 22nd to 24th June 2013 we took part occasionally to the full moon and midyear festival in Hoi An (duration 7 nights). There were thousands of people in this tiny and touristic city. That's why we found almost no hotel rooms, except in the Long Life Riverside Hotel at a - compared to other cities - rather expensive price, but the Hotel is located right away at the beginning of the expositions of the festival activities and the old town without traffic. We felt good in the spacious hotel with the small and nice outside swimming pool inside the hotel complex. The room was nice too, the bath room big, so we felt wonderful. We left at 0400 in the morning, and the night portier prepared especially for us a takeaway breakfast. We appreciated that very much. The reception people during the stay were correct with us customer, they helped us to book for the next hotel in Dalat and took care of the taxi to the Da Nang airport at that early time. And the taxi arrived at 0350, so almost everything was alright, except maybe the in my opinion missed smile at the reception bar. A warm smile that one would await especially at the reception bar in a country of smile like Vietnam.

We had two nights in beautiful Hoi An (not near enough) and what made it even more special was the Long Life Riverside resort. The rooms were prepared so immacuately, they were clean, spacious - and had fanastic facilities. We had a room that overlooked the pool. The bathroom was amazing with a drop down bath and fabulous shower head. Our room had a laptop, bar fridge and was very secure. We always had fresh fruit in our rooms and it was clean as a whistle each day. I cannot commend the staff enough; they were friendly, helpful and genuinely cared about our stay in Hoi An. They were very helpful and knowlegeable about the area, and called around to find us suitable tours. The day we left, the hotel organised a taxi for us, carrying our bags and even packed us a breakfast 'to go.' Our best accommodation on our trip to Vietnam and I would HIGHLY reccomemend it. It is in a an amazing location right near the river, and a two minute walk into town. Each person is also supplied a bicycle with their room too, which was a surprising added extra bonus which we took advantage of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :-)

We arrived early from Ho Chi Minh City but our room was ready in about 20 minutes. We were given a fresh fruit drink and some fruit while we waited.

Rooms are well equipped and spacious. We had a 2 story room with an outside bath off the upstairs bedroom, though it was extremely hot out there as it was fully enclosed. Main bathroom downstairs was a wet room with a free standing spa bath.

Breakfast is a modest buffet with a slant to asian. Eggs are prepared to order and presented decoratively. The 4 slice toaster only works on 1 side in 1 slot, very tedious trying to make toast. Food is prepared early and the warmers aren't kept under trhe trays to keep it warm all the time.

A very pleasant hotel to stay even though it is not as close to the Ancient City as many others. They have bicycle you can use for free.

Unlikely to visit Hoi An again due to the extreme heat, this was our 2nd visit there but would recommend this hotel.

The swimming pool is well maintained and clean and is very refreshing after traversing the extremely hot streets of the Ancient Town.

Room Tip: You may prefer a poolview room with balcony as they are in the centre of the complex and receive sha...
