“Great location and comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in a family room at theirs e Riverside - with a main room with a king sized bed and loft with twin beds the room worked perfectly for our family with 2 teenage kids. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with funky bathrooms (even had an addition al outside bath on the terrace). Having said this, some of the rooms look like they don't have external windows, so ask to see before you take a room.Location was great, just across the walking bridge to the old town. Hotel has a small pool. Breakfast was fine but a bit cramped. Service wasn't great - had to ask 3 times to get our so 's bed made up and it still didn't happen. But overall a good choice for Hoi An.

The huge plus to the hotel was the location - absolutely fantastic. Really close to the bridge into the heart of Hoi An but certainly not noisy (well by Vietnamese city standards anyway). The breakfast was ok and we were given a pack-up when we left for a very early flight which was appreciated. OK - the negatives - the room wasn't properly clean - despite asking three times for it to be recleaned. The shower was particularly grubby with months of soap/limescale streaks on the glass etc. The major downfall however was the toilet was inside the shower area so your feet got soaked every time you went to the loo. The bed was very hard (and we have a firm mattress at home) and the sheets didn't fit so we had a nightly remake of the bed. It wasn't so bad - we stayed an extra night - but next trip I'd probably look elsewhere just because of our experience. From other reviews it looks as though I was unlucky.

We were very happy with our stay at the Long Life Riverside. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel is well located and close to the Old town and has river views.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms right outside the pool

My daughter and I stayed at the Long Life Riverside Hotel for 4 nights. We had a suite that included a large bathroom and spa bath, 2 double beds, a lounge area plus computer for AU$50.00 a night. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were in a lovely room overlooking the river, buffet style, excellent quality and included in the price. The hotel had free bikes which were perfect for going to the beach. The hotel is ideally situated close to the river and many great restaurants. Hoi An is the town to get yourself some new clothes. We went to Kimmies which offered a professional service at a reasonabe price. Hoi An was our favourite place in Vietnam.

The one thing that was and is great about this hotel is the location. Its close to the old town and still away from the hustle and bustle. And I guess the size of the room was a plus, too.
Don't think, the big bathtub are a nice addition... unless you have a cold you will find that the tap water stinks... i abandoned my hot tub after 2 minutes...
The beds are okay, the rooms quiet except that we were unlucky about having some families staying at the place where the kids decided to throw a tantrum in the allway at 8 in the morning. I dont blame the hotel for that at all, except that after 15 minutes they could ave said something to the parents who ignored the whole thing happening.
Cleanliness was okay - shelfs were dusty... after the second night we had to ask for gand towels. For some reason they stopped putting the in our room.
There is wireless and a computer available which is convenient but the connection is slow.
The breakfast is okay. Lots of fresh fruit and - if you like it - fresh bakery goods. They also do eggs to your order but the breakfast staff does not understand English. The eggs were okay but nothing great. The breakfast room is small and during the "rush hour" guests had to pile away the dirty dishes in order to have room to sit down.
The frontdesk staff is nice enough but not as close to helpfull as we experienced in other places. Maybe it is also the lack of English which I would expect to be better in a place lie this.
You can only pay in cash which is fine, but they did not have any change when we checked-out.
All in all an okay experience but next time I would go somewhere else.

There is a major communication breakdown between the people in sales and reception at this place. We were treated poorly initially. Once we "moved on", the place was quite good. But the beds were quite uncomfy, too hard. Breakfast was terrific and included in price. The seats in our room were also uncomfy - could not really sit in them. Kids liked the pool. Free bicycles was handy and fun.

Spent 3 very enjoyable nights here. The hotel is located in a great spot away from the hustle & bustle but a short walk to all the sights. You would never guess from the outside what lies beyond the front doors but the hotel was one of the best that we stayed in during our time in Vietnam.

Huge rooms, nice pool, spotlessly clean and a very good breakfast (banana pancakes are a must).

A lovely touch was the packed breakfast they gave us when we had to catch an early flight.

Compared to what you pay in other parts of the world, I would also say excellent value.
