“Great value, great location, beautiful hotel”
Reviewed April 1, 2011

The lifelong was a beautiful boutique hotel. It was great value for money The wooden carving in the rooms and round the hotel is just beautiful and add to the "asian" ambience of the hotel. Lovely banana pancakes for breakfast - or order omelette etc.

The hotel organised a wonderful driver that picked us up in Danang from the train station and saved us from the hordes of taxi drivers.

Great spot, short stroll to the hub of Hoi An. Even gave us a silk purse asa going away gift.

Lovely motel - recommend to anyone wishing to stay in a great value middle range hotel.

We stayed here with my family and a couple of friends, I think long life (riverside) had jsut been recently built that year. The breakfast was great and they never ran out of food.

The rooms themselves are fantastic! the rooms a very big, clean and the spa was the highlight for me!!

I would give this place a 5 out of 5 as it was literally accross the road from where you want to be (the sopping arear)

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Longlife Riverside Hotel for 3 nights. We arrived very early in the morning with the nightbus from Nha Trang and the room we booked was not available at this time, because the other guests did not check out. The friendly staff gave us another one, where we could take a rest from the 11-hours-drive.

The room was really great and clean. It was very spacious with a big kingsizebed, the bathtube had a whirlpool-function and the whole room was lovingly decorated with lampions - typical for Hoi An. The hotels location was great, too. Nearby the old centre, Hoi Ans main attraction. It is possible to rent bicyclesfor free to explore the ambience.

The breakfast was one of the best we had during our whole Vietnam-trip. There was muesli, french bread, some choices of Vietnamese food, a lot of fruits and even tasty marmelade. A cook made scrambled eggs and even fullfiled extraordinary guest-wishes.

Last but not least the staff was really great and helpful. I forgot my trousers in the hotel and they sent it to our next destination in Hanoi! I think that is even for the best hotel not self-evident. There is nothing bad to say about Long Life Riverside Hotel and if I return to Hoi An I would definetely join it again!

one of the best we stayed at during out 2 week tour of Vietnam. Whilst there was a mix up with the booking (one of our rooms was downgraded due to availability), this was quickly resolved. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble, though the best point about this hotel are the proximity to the old town, the standard of the rooms (quite luxurious for the price) and the breakfasts. I was a little surprised when I was told that they don't have an onsite restaurant, though there are plenty of good restaurants within a couple of minutes walking. overall no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone.

We were upgraded on arrival to a deluxe family room, which was enormous! The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large with a spa bath. It is located in an excellent part of town - on the river and only about 2min walk to the old town. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help us out. Highly recommended for anyone travelling to Hoi An. Just a couple of quirks - their website pix don't really do it justice, and the safety box in the room was just sitting on the floor, not bolted down to anything...fail!!

Hoi An is a lovely city & Long Life Riverside is a good hotel in a good location, situated in along the riverfront in the Old Town you cross the Japanese Bridge to get to the markets & the majority of restaurants, cafes & tailor shops. Please note that they have another hotel known as Long Life Hotel, both not to be confused with other hotels of a similar name. They can be recognised as Thanh Xuan Hotels. They also run a tailor shop called Long Life Silk just up the road from Riverside Hotel. The price is good value it includes breakfast and the three rooms I booked, 2 doubles & 1 twin were all very well decorated, large, fridge, tv, computer & internet, lounge area and a large elegant bathroom. My parent’s room had a toilet at one end of the shower which they found amusing especially when they forgot to remove the toilet paper before taking a shower. My bathroom layout was slightly different the shower head hung above a bath & I would strongly NOT recommend these rooms for people that may have difficulty stepping in and out of high baths because although the base was stable the bath insert kept moving and you had to be extremely careful not to lose balance whilst avoiding the puddles of water because there are no screens. A note to the hotel management maybe check these are all sealed now? But all in all it was a nice hotel the staff were very kind (you can arrange airport transfers with them as well) plus the people watching from the upstairs breakfast room window always marked a good start to the day. P.S I love the towel animals and petals they place in the rooms.

We stayed at the Long Life Riverside for five nights and enjoyed it overall. We stayed in a back room on third floor and plenty of steps to improve our fitness. Generally it was quite (for Vietnam) apart from school days with a wake up call from the local school assembly about 7am. I am an early riser and enjoyed the experience anyway. Nice comfortable large bed and good bath. Strange design with the shower and toiiet in one small area and shower water leaked into main bathroom which the poor staff cleaned up every day. A bonus was having your own internet computer in the room. Room was well cleaned daily , plenty of bottled water and fruit supplied daily, Breakfast was fine with reasonable selection and good chef on the eggs. Receptionists were charming and always smiling - a real asset. Small pool which was nice and clean. Easy walk to the main tourist areas, good restaurants, markets and centre of town. We enjoyed our stay, and given the location thought it was very good value. Would stay there again.
