Owner description: Immerse yourself for a half day or a full day into native Viet Nam. This bicycle tour will take you far away from the beaten tracks. You will discover the genuine customs and traditions of the Vietnamese peasants. You will long remember these unforgettable moments spent in the heart of traditional Viet Nam. A truly unique experience.

We decided to do the Countryside tour and the Tra Que Herb Village tour as it had such good reviews and it certainly did not disappoint. Our tour guides were amazing and the whole day was exactly what we came to Vietnam for. We went over to the islands just off Hoi An and was introduced to locals going about their everyday life. We saw crafts men and woman working away to make beautiful wooden objects with mother of pearl designs carved into them. We had a go rowing a basket fishing boat and weaving a sleeping mat.

The tour took us through the beautiful countryside, through rice paddies and across lakes and rivers. We learnt all about Vietnamese culture and traditions before having lunch in a locals house and the food was great.

I can't complain about anything on the tour. The whole day was an unforgettable experience.

We went on a separate tour to the Tra Que Herb Village after the Countryside Tour and that was just as inspiring. We learnt a lot about how some vegetables are grown and harvested and got to try different herbs and spices.

I would recommend everyone do a tour with these guys as it made our trip. Thanks to our tour guides Trinh and Tuan for a fab day.

We could not fault this trip.We did the original half day (8.30 -3.00)country trip, four of us in a group of 10 plus two exceptional guides.the cycling was only part of it.Ferry trip to Cham Island, with about forty scooters on board, visited small lacquer factory, boat building, reed dyeing, for mats, mat making, basket boat (coracle) making, tried out the basket boats, lunch in a local house, and finished with a boat trip back to Hoi An.And all for about $25!

Outstanding,and highly recommend!

So there was Sharon and myself , the lovely Joka and Wilhelm from Holland and our intrepid guides Miss Trinh & Mr Wee . We were a bit scared that we would be in the middle of a heaving mass of camera snapping lunatics and were deliriously happy that we were in such small esteemed company . Very efficiently we were inroduced to our bicycles and got under way and off up the Thu Bồn River we went -
Altogether we cycled over 20 kms - hopped Islands a number of times in a boat , had my first adventure in a coracle ...did some Busby Beserkley spinning maneuvers till I grasped the 'C' stroke . Astonishing-cycling through the little villages was so cool - the little kiddies would rush outside and you had to 'high five' them all - I personally dislike 'highfiving' anything BUT these little kids were wonderful SO I was 'fiving' like a mentalist ....they thought I was hilarious with my bonkers hair SO we got on fine . I did a number of firsts ....I made Rice Paper , De-Husked the rice itself , made Noodles ..... Helped 'Mat Weaving' , Sang , Drove over these Bamboo bridges where the guide 'Miss Chin' (!) said ".....be careful not to stop on the way over ..." Met some lovely lovely lovely Vietnamese people , we even were all invited to a Vietnamese Wedding ( I hid ) everyone else in the group said it was fabulous .... Everyone was so cool , any drama everybody stopped and helped. Yes ....the heat nearly killed us , really really hot ...... sticky dripping hot (don't worry you don't have to drink out of the river ). Oddly it was cooler to keep cycling ....when you stopped BANG the steam would come out of every crevice you had ! I had such a great day and so did Sharon and I was SAD when we had to say goodbye to everyone . Money cannot buy you that much fun .... Thank you 'Heaven & Earth'! ( sorry if I spelled your names wrong everybody ) xxx

Absolutely brilliant. My wife and I were so impressed with the organisation and with the care taken by Pascal and his staff to ensure that we had a wonderful day. The bikes were modern and well maintained, giving us an immediate feeling of confidence. Pascal led and his female colleague stayed with us all day to ensure that my wife had no difficulties finding loos etc. They both took great care to explain what we were seeing, and to enable us to meet and talk to the locals about what they were doing - great fun and extremely interesting. Fantastic way of seeing the countryside. Highly recommended.

We had an excellent experience with this company. We did the half day bike tour in the afternoon (so didn't pay to eat lunch in a local house). It was informative, pitched at the right level both in terms of content and pace. We saw interesting local crafts but their was no awkward pressure to buy anything. It was very relaxed. The guide spoke excellent English and we chatted about Vietnamese culture in general, not just in relation to what we were seeing on the trip. Great value for money and they did provide water but, I would still take your own as well. Easy to strap a small rucksack safely onto the bike so no need to worry about carrying it. Also accept the offer to borrow a traditional Vietnamese hat for the ride if you can - best sun hat/protection going!
