This place gets extremely busy as it’s on the main tourist road so we went at lunch, and it was still packed. But we’re really glad we did as the food was amazing and well lived up to expectations as it had been recommended by friends. It’s just more expensive than other restaurants, again this is because it’s right in the centre of everything. Well worth a visit despite it being a bit of a tourist trap.

It was a full moon Tuesday night when we visited so the old town was heaving. The restaurant seats about 250 people over 2 levels and was full and uncomfortably hot where we sat. This place is more expensive and less friendly than most of the restaurants and cafes we visited over 6 days in Hoi An. It is clearly on the hotel recommendation list. The squid stuffed with pork mince was divine and the duck salad with banana flowers was delicious. The white rose wontons are also a must as they are the local specialty. The other dishes we ate were nice but not outstanding.

We had dinner here and watched the cooks in the middle of the main room perform their amazing art with no sign of pressure. Food was good, but we found the heat a little hard to take.

I had the braised duck and my husband had the sea bass with a lime sauce, both dishes were spectacular!!!!

Maybe our expectations were too high but this was the less positive food experience in Vietnam. When we booked we asked for a table outside which was not available when we arrived. We were than transferred to another restaurant (but served the Morning glory menu). The white wine was too warm. Staff not attentive. Food average of taste. In fact it was nothing special and we left rather disappointed.
