Owner description: See the real Vietnam with Hoi An Motorbike Adventures! Get off the beaten tourist track and experience the real Vietnam first hand. Our motorcycle and Jeep tours enable you to leave the tourist trail behind and see parts of Vietnam that few other travellers get to see. Riding a motorbike or travelling in a Jeep brings you closer to the real Vietnam. The motorbike is the number-one form of transport in Vietnam, and as you high-five local children as you ride through their villages, you'll be happy you decided not to travel by car. Stop where you want, when you want. You don't have to be a motocross champion either. Our tours can be tailored to every level of experience, from non-riders who can ride as pillion passengers to off-road riders who are looking for a real challenge. Motorcycle tours are flexible by nature - you can take one road or another, depending on what the group wants to ride. Our rides run from half a day to a week, and the possibilities are endless.

“Unbelievably fun day!”
Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

All we can say is OMG. Our guide was informative our drivers were superb. We are two grandmas who spent the day on the back of Minsk motorcycles in total awe and amazement of this beautiful country and its sweet wonderful people.

Our trip was like a rolling museum of history science and anthropology.

Our guides were extremely cautious and we were secure the whole day. We never felt fear aside from the fun fear from the ferry. We laughed all day and have really become attached to this country and its people.

I saw and learnt more in two days with Hoi An Motorbike Adventures than the rest of my 2 week trip put together. It is so un touristy that any other trip you do in Vietnam will seem false and touristy. The food was excellent, among the best we had, the guide Mark Summers knew his stuff and gave loads of interesting stuff on culture, religion, the war, the landscape etc etc (and then some more - he loved to talk...). My wife tried to ride but was too scared and not safe so they put her on the back of Mr Chow's bike and she said how safe she felt the whole time.

Instead of being one of a hundred westerners gawping at tribal people pretending to do tribal things, ride through tiny tribal villages where all the people and kids come out to gawp at the westerners.

Without wanting to repeat other reviews, just do it.

“An absolute highlight”
Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

Just home from the half day tour with my husband, two teenage boys, Craig, our guide, and four lovely drivers. We had the most wonderful afternoon, out in the countryside, driving through villages, stopping alongside water buffaloes in rice paddies, getting right off the beaten track.

This is a must do trip, and these guys are great to do it with. The guides are Aussies, which matters only in so far as language in not a problem, so you can be confident in what's being organised. Safety was a priority, they were concerned that everyone felt comfortable and confident (we were all novices), and we were never concerned the whole time we were out.
We all loved it, and are already planning longer trips as soon as we can get back to Vietnam.

I know a lot of people say this was a highlight of their trip, it has been of ours too.

“Superb way of seeing the countryside - with kids!!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

My family & I (Wife, kids 8, 7 & 6 yrs) took the half day motorbike tour around Hoi-An and can only7 recommend it to anyone else that wants something different from the 'minibus and walk' that seems standard in the area. Each of the kids had their own rider, very friendly (encouraging the liberal use of the horn and thus fitting right in with the locals!) and safe while we rode our own scooter. It did break down admittedly but the guys quickly understood what was wrong, popped into a local shed for a piece of wire and we were off again.

We toured through the edges of town before heading out into the countryside along a mix of small roads & narrow dirt tracks. Matt was our guide and regularly pulled us over to discuss some of the history and local points of interest - kids loved the closing plants - and there were a couple of floating (just!) bridges that needed to be navigated carefully.

The Vietnamese people are extremely friendly and would often hail us, wave and look for moving high-fives, all of which compounded a really fun afternoon, something I would definitely recommend.
