“What a find”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

It was hard to find but well worth the effort. Walking down a narrow lane way between small homes and tailors workshops it felt like we were in people's houses. Then all of a sudden you reach the secret garden and it's like entering a fantasy world of tropical trees and flowers with red lady hair vines hanging down. This would have been enough to sit and relax however it got better with the fabulous food and even live music. The service was excellent and the drinks were cold. We will definitely return.

“A peaceful sanctuary with excellent food”
Reviewed February 27, 2014 via mobile

We ate in this restaurant twice during a five day stay in Hoi An and highly recommend it for the food and ambience. We were initially seduced by the name - travelling through the narrow alley towards the restaurant there is the chance to spy Hoi An life as lived by its residents and then you arrive at the lush green open courtyard setting of the restaurant with a discreetly positioned but lively open plan kitchen.

Seduced by the setting and then noting the reasonable prices ( in comparison with other higher end restaurants we tried in the old town) the deliciousness of the food was another exciting discovery. After nearly two weeks in the country it offered an interesting and well cooked menu of regional specialities and Vietnamese classics. The White Rose dish was a stand out for one of our party as was the beef cooked in beetel leaf. The Hoi an noodles are an interesting local speciality to try. Also highly recommended were the fresh salads. Service was friendly but ,as is normal in Vietnam , brisk with plates being cleared as each person finished their meal.
This restaurant is unashamedly aimed at the tourist market, so perhaps not suitable for those wanting a more ' authentic' eating experience as a whole but the food served had integrity and was well cooked and flavoursome.

“Great service, food and music”
Reviewed January 29, 2014 via mobile

Went here for my husband's birthday with his parents and had a lovely time. We were really impressed with how hidden away the place was (at the end of a long alley on Le Loi) and how pretty the garden setting was. The food was cheap considering other places we'd eaten at that were not as good. The service was quick and the waitresses were friendly and attentive. The guitar music was really lovely too. Ask for a table near the bar if you'd like to be be able to hear the music if the restaurant is busy. We were sitting next to a rather loud table of Americans, so we asked to move nearer the lovely soothing Guitar music and had a much more pleasant time.

The food was delicious too and there was a lot of choice on the menu. The kitchen is open for all to see so you can be sure the hygiene is pretty good.

Would definitely go back and have already recommended to friends.

Great find for a quiet night of dining. Quick diversion up an ally just past adong silk and you are there. Food would is a 4 out of 5 but setting makes up for it.
