“A cut above the rest”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

This was a lovely restaurant. They have some of the old favourites but also many dishes that are a bit different from those being served at many of the other Vietnamese restaurants in Hoi An. Everything we had was delicious. It was a little more expensive that you could get elsewhere but we felt it was worth the money. The setting is really beautiful. Tucked down a little alley, you do feel that you have stumbled into a secret garden. Oh and my son would want me to mention the toilets. He liked them so much he went a couple of times!

“Average food but lovely setting ”
Reviewed December 30, 2013 via mobile

We came here on recommendation from a friend who raved about it. I think we have had exceptional food in Vietnam and this was only average in my opinion. The setting, however, is delightful. The starters were nice. We had a the crispy wonton, some fresh spring rolls and a rice pancake dish. The main snapper dish in banana leaf was delicate and delicious. Beef in betel leaf was very garlicky but acceptable. Squid was overcooked and tasteless. Service was average and the staff didn't really smile that much. I'm sure there is better in hoi an.

“Dissappointing ....”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

The location down a lane way is quaint and there is a lovely "secret garden" as par tot the restaurant. However when compared to other restaurants in Hoi An that we have experienced, the service was slow and not very professional and food was not as good.

“Good food, great surroundings”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

We stumbled into this restaurant while exploring quiet lanes. this aptly named restaurant is beautifully set in a shady garden and serves the coldest beer I sampled in Hoi An. The food was delightfull, generous and not expensive. A welcome break from the midday heat that I would recommend.
